Portugal have the players to go all the way in the UEFA Nations League but they face a tricky quarter-final against a dangerous Denmark side.
Robert Martinez has a squad packed with quality in every position so crashing out of Euro 2024 in the last eight was a major disappointment.
The Portuguese were back to their best in the Nations League though, going unbeaten in Group A with four wins and two draws in their six games.
The highlight was a 5-1 thrashing of Poland, which brought up two bets for Slips Tips, and that shows what Martinez's side are capable of when the big guns are all firing.
Denmark are always a tough team to break down though and they'll be hoping a packed Parken Stadium can give them the edge in the first leg of this quarter-final.
The Danes also disappointed at the Euros, losing in the last 16, but finished second behind Spain in a difficult Nations League group.
It's a period of transition for Denmark, with new coach Brian Riemer only appointed back in October, but a win over Portugal would give them a huge boost heading into the World Cup qualifiers.
How the bookies view it: Portugal with the edge
Portugal have better players than Denmark and BoyleSports make them 23/20 favourites for a win in Copenhagen. The Danes are 11/5 shots and the draw pays 21/10.
Head to head: Games's a bogey for Denmark
These sides haven't faced off since 2015, when Portugal edged a 1-0 win in Lisbon in Euro qualifying. They have dominated this fixture throughout history, winning 10 of the 15 meetings and losing just three times.
Players to watch: Rasmus relief
Rasmus Hojlund will report for Denmark duty on a high after ending his goal drought in Manchester United's weekend win over Leicester. The striker is 11/4 at BoyleSports to follow it up with a Nations League goal.
Golden oldie Cristiano Ronaldo top scored for Portugal with five goals in their Nations League campaign but you have to wonder if pandering to a 40-year-old's ego as he bids to break records is the best thing for the team going forward.
It will be interesting to see if Martinez starts Rolando in Denmark but I'm going to back Bruno Fernandes for a goal instead at 7/2, with the Manchester United midfielder scoring five times in his last three games.
Probable line-ups
Both managers have selected strong squads and Martinez's biggest dilemma is who to leave out, although Ronaldo should get the nod ahead of PSG'S Goncalo Ramos up front.
Denmark: Schmeichel, Roerslev, Andersen, Vestergaard, Dorgu, Hjulmand, Hojberg, Eriksen, Skov Olsen, Damsgaard, Hojlund.
Portugal: Costa, Dalot, Dias, A Silva, N Mendes, Vitinha, J Neves, Fernandes, Leao, B Silva, Ronaldo.
Anything else catch the eye?
The last two meetings of the sides were pretty dull, with Portugal coming out on top by a single goal each time. This should be another tight game and under 2.5 goals is priced just 7/10 at BoyleSports but the half-time draw is better at evens. Betting against BTTS also stands a chance at 20/21.
We only saw six corners when Portugal last came to the Parken so betting against a lot of flag kicks could pay off when the bookies finally price up that market.
AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is always a threat and he looks good at evens for a shot on target with Bet365 if Martinez hands him a starting jersey.
Portugal have had five or more shots on target in five of their last six games so it could be a busy night for Kasper Schmeichel. The Denmark keeper is 11/8 at SkyBet for over 3.5 saves.
