Crystal Palace vs Fulham

, KO: 15:00 Nov 9, 2024, Selhurst Park
Fulham

London rivals Crystal Palace and Fulham face off at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Crystal Palace have so far failed to hit the heights of last season, though they have shown some signs of life in recent weeks.

The Eagles earned their first win of the season against Tottenham two weeks ago before battling back to claim a 2-2 draw at Wolves last weekend.

That four point haul has pulled Palace out of the relegation zone and they will be keen to continue their climb up the standings by seeing off Fulham on Saturday.

Marco Silva’s men moved into the top-half of the table on Monday night by staging a last-gasp comeback to beat Brentford 2-1.

The Cottagers will look to use the momentum and the feel-good factor from that victory as a springboard for further success at Selhurst Park this weekend.

How the bookies view it: Eagles to edge it

The bookmakers are struggling to separate the pair, with Crystal Palace marginal 17/10 favourites on Betfair.

Fulham are narrow outsiders at 7/4 with Unibet, while a point apiece at Selhurst Park has been priced up at 9/4 with Betano.

Head to head: Another stalemate in store?

Each of the previous three Premier League meetings between the pair have ended all square. Last season’s corresponding fixture finished goalless and the same scoreline on Saturday can be backed at 11/1 on Betfred.

Players to watch: Check out Cheick

Cheick Doucoure is expected to come back into the Crystal Palace side on Saturday. The combative midfielder is 17/10 to commit two or more fouls during this contest and that price looks too big to ignore. Doucoure has committed two fouls across his last 56 minutes of Premier League action for Palace

Emile Smith Rowe registered a shot on target against Brentford on Monday night, making him an appealing option to repeat the trick this weekend at 7/5 with Ladbrokes.

Predicted line-ups

Crystal Palace’s injury crisis is showing no signs of letting up yet, with Eddie Nketia the latest player to enter the treatment room. Will Hughes – who I successfully flagged up to commit two or more fouls at Wolves last weekend – is suspended after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season at Molineux.

Fulham will again be without Sasa Lukic, however Monday night’s hero Harry Wilson is pushing for a recall to the starting XI after bagging a brace at the death against Brentford.

Crystal Palace: Henderson; Chalobah, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Doucoure, Schlupp, Mitchell; Sarr, Kamada; Mateta

Fulham: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Pereira; Iwobi, Smith Rowe, Nelson; Jimenez

Anything else catch the eye?

While it’s not the most attractive of prices, I’m still happy to propose a play on both teams to score at 8/11 with William Hill.

Both teams have netted in no fewer than eight of Fulham’s 10 Premier League games this season so far.

This would have also been the right wager in each of Crystal Palace’s last two league and cup matches, so there is plenty of scope for a repeat at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

This match between Crystal Palace and Fulham will be played on Nov 9, 2024 and kick off at 15:00. Check below for our tipsters best Crystal Palace vs Fulham prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
