Chelsea vs Norwich

, KO: 12:30 Oct 23, 2021, Stamford Bridge
Norwich

CHELSEA will look to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League when they welcome Norwich to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

This lunchtime tussle in west London will pit the league leaders against the side who are propping up the Premier League table.

Thomas Tuchel's team continue to go about their title push in solid rather spectacular style and that was the case during last weekend's hard-earned 1-0 win at Brentford.

The Blues followed up on that success with a 4-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League in midweek, on a night where my Stamford Bridge Bet Builder banked.

Thomas Tuchel Chelsea

Norwich, meanwhile, have steadied the ship with a pair of goalless draws against Burnley and Brighton, but the Canaries look set to be gearing up for a long winter battling to beat the drop.

Daniel Farke's side are fast becoming English football's resident yo-yo club and they may need to wait a little longer to land their maiden league win of the season.

Outright Betting

Chelsea have avoided defeat in their last 17 encounters with Norwich and the Blues are unsurprisingly big favourites on Saturday at 3/16 with SBK.

Norwich have failed to win a Premier League game in their last 18 attempts and the bookies odds suggest that wretched run is set to continue, with an away win priced up at a whopping 19/1 (SBK) while the draw is an unfancied 33/5 (SBK) with the same firm.

Betting Angles

Chelsea are far too short to side with at the above-mentioned odds but combining a home win, under five match goals and over zero Norwich cards will bring about a 4/5 (Bet 365) Bet Builder that makes appeal.

Thomas Tuchel's side have made a typically efficient start to the Premier League season, with each of their six league triumphs this term so far featuring four goals or fewer.

In fact, Chelsea to win and under five match goals has landed in 16 of the Blues 17 Premier League wins under the tutelage of the tactically-astute Tuchel.

With that in mind, coupled with the news that both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner will miss this match, I'll happily merge a Chelsea success with under five match strikes.

To round off the Bet Builder I'll go with a minimum of one Norwich booking – the Canaries have collected at least one card in all but one of their eight Premier League outings this season and their trip to the Bridge will undoubtedly represent their toughest away-day of the season to date.

I'll also revisit the Bet Builder market and combine over one Chelsea goal and under one Norwich goal, an eye-catching 23/20 (Bet365) play.

Shot-shy Norwich have scored just two goals in their opening eight league matches, with just one of the rock-bottom Canaries' last four league games producing more than two goals.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have scored exactly three goals in three of their four Premier League home games this season, not to mention the aforementioned combination has clicked in four of the Blues' six top-flight victories thus far.

This match between Chelsea and Norwich will be played on Oct 23, 2021 and kick off at 12:30. Check below for our tipsters best Chelsea vs Norwich prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
