Brighton will be looking to snap out of a recent poor run of form as they host Nottingham Forest in a Premier League fixture on Sunday. The Seagulls remain decent at home and should have the upper hand over Forest, who have been out of sorts lately.
Brighton are going through a difficult patch as they head into Sunday’s clash winless in their last four matches across all competitions. Roberto De Zerbi’s men have lost the last three in that run and have been in a steady decline down the table, sitting ninth at the moment.
The Seagulls suffered a 3-0 defeat to Fulham in their previous Premier League fixture. They followed that up with a 4-0 defeat at Roma in their Europa League round of 16 first leg clash.
One small positive for Brighton is that they have been away in the last three weeks and will return to the Amex Stadium which has not tasted defeat in the last 12 matches. There have been some impressive wins in that run like the 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur and the 4-1 triumph over Crystal Palace.
Nottingham Forest have also found things difficult in recent weeks and have lost four of their last five matches across all competitions. They have continued to slip down the table and are now 17th, just four points above the relegation.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo would have been left disappointed as Nottingham Forest suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool last time out in the Premier League. They had held off the Reds for much of the contest and even had the better chances but went on to concede deep into added time.
Nottingham Forest have also struggled on their recent travels, picking up just one win in their last 10 Premier League away matches. Some of their heaviest defeats have come in the road, including a 5-0 hammering at Fulham and a 4-0 loss at Aston Villa in their previous fixture on the road.
