The Eliteserien presents an exciting clash at the top of the table on Sunday evening as second-placed Brann play host to the current league leaders Viking.
However, while both teams are only separated by one place in the table, there are currently nine points between them. Brann do have a game in hand on Viking though.
The hosts have been a mixed bag in recent results in the league, with one win, one draw and one defeat in their last three games. They drew 1-1 at HamKam last time out.
Viking suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away to Sarpsborg last time out, their first loss in the league this season. Previously, the visitors were on a 19-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
In terms of recent H2Hs, Viking are also unbeaten in their previous seven meetings against Brann. However, the last two H2Hs have resulted in 1-1 draws.
How the bookies view it: Brann slight favourites
Brann have been installed as slight favourites with BoyleSports to claim all three points on home soil, and they can be backed with odds at 6/5. Viking can be backed at 6/4 odds with the same bookmaker, while a draw is valued at 13/5.
Given that the previous two meetings have ended in stalemates, and what is at stake at the top of the table, we feel inclined to back the draw at that price.
Recent head-to-head: Spoils shared in December
These two teams last met in December, where the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw. Visitors Viking took the lead 10 minutes into the second half through Peter Christiansen, before Niklas Castro equalised from the penalty spot for hosts Brann.
Players to watch: Finne has Heg boots to fill
Brann's top scorer Aune Heggebo has recently left Brann to join Championship side West Brom, so Bard Finne is expected to take his place with all eyes on him to see if he can fill Heggebo's boots.
Zlatko Tripic has been a key player for Viking this season, scoring a total of eight goals and making a further six assists in just 13 games in the league.
Predicted lineups
Castro, who scored in the last H2H between the two sides, will be missing for Brann alongside both Sakarias Opsahi and Jonas Torsvik.
Nicholas D’Agostino and Gianni Stesness are expected to be the only absentees for Viking.
Brann: Dyngeland, Pedersen, Helland, Larsen, Soltvedt, Gudmundsson, Kornvig, Myhre, Sane, Heggebo, Finne.
Viking: Heggheim, Baertelsen, Falchener, Auklend, Bell, Tripic, Hansen, Askildsen, Austbo, Christiansen.
Anything else catch the eye?
The last three H2Hs have produced two goals or fewer in total, and this could turn out to be a cagey affair between the two teams battling it out at the top of the table. Under 2.5 total goals can be backed at 6/4 odds with BoyleSports.
Both goals were scored in the second half when the teams played out a 1-1 draw in their previous meeting, and having the half of the first goal as the second is at a tempting 16/5 with the same bookmaker.
