Barcelona will take on Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday, 20 October with the hosts looking to extend their lead at the top of the league table.
The Catalans have started the season brilliantly under their new manager, Hansi Flick, and a win here could see them move six points clear of Real Madrid.
Sevilla, meanwhile, have recovered well from a slow start to the campaign and are now moving in the right direction.
How the bookies view it: Hosts start as big favourites
Barcelona go into this match as the big favourites which shouldn't come as a surprise given they have won eight of their nine league matches this season. A win for Barcelona has been priced as short as 2/7 by Betfred while a win for Sevilla has been priced at 8/1. The draw, which would be a better result for the visitors, has been priced at 5/1.
Recent head-to-head: Barcelona dominance
Another reason Barcelona are priced as short as they are on Sunday is their recent record against Sevilla. They are unbeaten in their last eight matches against Sevilla (seven wins, one draw) and haven't lost to them in the league since 2015.
Sevilla's last victory in an away match against Barcelona came all the way back in 2010.
Players to watch: Two forwards glad to be back with their clubs
Neither Dodi Lukebakio nor Robert Lewandowski had the most enjoyable international breaks and both men will look forward to lining up for their clubs again this weekend.
Many people expected Lewandowski to retire from international football after Euro 2024, but it appears he is set to continue until the 2026 World Cup. The 36-year-old failed to score for his nation over the break, but he has been in blistering form for Barcelona lately. He has eight goals in his last five appearances for the club and will be a constant threat on Sunday.
Dodi Lukebakio also failed to score during the break and the 27-year-old only managed two cameo appearances for Belgium. The Sevilla man has started the season reasonably well, scoring three goals in La Liga for his club. He needs just two more to match the total he managed last season but he will need more than that to become a starter for his nation.
Predicted line-ups
Barcelona's injury list is getting a little shorter with Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez and Gavi now ready to return to the matchday squad. Five players remain out, including goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Wojciech Szczesny is now in line to make his debut. Sevilla are without Saul Niguez, Djibril Sow and Tanguy Nianzou.
Barcelona: Pena – Kounde, Martinez, Cubarsi, Balde – Garcia, Casado, Pedri – Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha
Sevilla: Nyland – Carmona, Salas, Bade, Pedrosa – Gudelj, Agoume – Lukebakio, Fernandez, Ejuke – Romero
Anything else catch the eye?
Sevilla have been one of the dirtiest teams in La Liga so far this season and they have already picked up four red cards in their opening nine matches. Barcelona have also picked up two red cards this season, one in the league and another in the Champions League. A red card to be shown on Sunday has been priced at 4/1 by Betfred.
