Barcelona turn their attention back to La Liga after they booked their place in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) in midweek, where they will face reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan over two legs to try and reach the final in Munich.
That is despite losing 3-1 away at Borussia Dortmund in the second leg, as they still progressed 5-3 on aggregate. Amazingly, that was their first defeat in all competitions since Christmas.
Domestically, Barca have won every league game bar one since January, a 1-1 draw against Real Betis in their last La Liga match on home soil. They are four points clear of bitter El Clasico rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table, who were knocked out of the UCL in midweek after losing 2-1 at home to Arsenal, and 5-1 on aggregate.
Celta Vigo will not be easy opponents for Barcelona though as they are currently in seventh place in the table and pushing to finish in the European spots come the end of the season. A 2-0 loss at home to Espanyol last time out was their first defeat in nine in La Liga, showing how hard they are to beat.
Barcelona have only won two of the last four H2Hs against Celta Vigo too, and failed to beat them in the reverse fixture. Indeed, the league leaders will need to stay concentrated if they are to take home all three points.
How the bookies view it: Barcelona big favourites
Unsurprisingly, Barcelona are big favourites to win the game, with BoyleSports offering as short as 2/7 in terms of odds. A draw is priced at 9/2, while a Celta Vigo victory is valued at 13/2 with the same bookmaker.
Recent head-to-head: Four-goal thriller
Both teams drew 2-2 in an entertaining affair in the reverse fixture. Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski gave Barcelona a two-goal lead, before Alfon Gonzalez and Hugo Alvarez netted in the final six minutes of the match to earn the hosts a point.
They were helped by Marc Casado being sent off for a second bookable offence eight minutes from time, in a game that saw as many as 11 cards dished out in total. Bet365 are offering 7/4 odds for over four cards to be given this time, which seems generous.
Players to watch: Lewa loves playing Celta
Lewandowski has scored five goals in the last three H2Hs, and could set Barcelona on their way to victory. Back him to score first at 11/4 with BoyleSports.
Gonzalez also netted in the reverse fixture, and has two goals in his last three matches.
Predicted lineups
Casado, who was sent off in the reverse fixture, is one of a number of players injured for Barcelona.
Carl Starfelt picked up an injury issue against Espanyol last time out, and so is expected to miss this clash.
Barcelona: Szczesny, Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Martin, De Jong, Pedri, Yamal, Fermin, Raphinha, Lewandowski.
Celta Vigo: Guaita, Rodriguez, Dominguez, Alonso, Mingueza, Carreira, Lopez, Beltran, Moriba, Gonzalez, Duran.
Anything else catch the eye?
Both teams have scored in the previous four H2Hs, and BoyleSports are offering 8/13 odds for a repeat here.
