ARSENAL will be looking to continue their perfect start to the new Premier League season by earning another three points against Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday.
After running out of steam in their push for the title last term, the Gunners have shown no signs of hangover in their latest pursuit of a first English crown since the days of Arsene Wenger's Invincibles.
Mikel Arteta's men kicked-off their season with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest before grinding out a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Monday night, bringing up my Selhurst Park Bet Builder in the process.
Next up for Arsenal as they look to maintain their 100% start to the season is a visit from London neighbours Fulham.
The Cottagers exceeded all expectations on their return to the top-flight last season as they secured a top-half finish – their highest Premier League placing since 2011-12.
Marco Silva's men have since made a mixed start to the new season, having started with a 1-0 win at Everton before being brushed aside 3-0 by Brentford in West London last weekend.
Outright Betting
Arsenal, who claimed top honours in both meetings between the pair last season, are red-hot 2/9 (Bet 365) to make it three Premier League wins on the spin.
Fulham haven't beaten Arsenal since 2012 and the bookmakers' odds suggest that trend will continue, with the visitors big outsiders at 13/1 (UniBet) while the draw is also deemed unlikely at 6/1 (Bet 365).
Betting Angles
The 2/9 quote about Arsenal winning this all-London affair is far too skinny, so I'll instead head to William Hill's to Score or Assist Market.
Eddie Nketia has started both of Arsenal's opening two Premier League fixtures of the season and the 19/20 (William Hill) on offer for him to either notch or assist on Saturday holds appeal.
Following an injury to Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah has been Mikel Arteta’s first-choice striker during the opening weeks of the season and he seized his starting opportunity by firing in the Gunners' opener against Nottingham Forest on matchday one.
Nketiah could then consider himself a little unlucky when hitting the post at Crystal Palace on Monday night, although the Arsenal forward did go on to earn his team the penalty kick that resulted in the match-winning goal.
Back at their Emirates base this weekend, I'm happy to back Nketia to either score or assist when faced with a Fulham side that shipped three at home to Brentford last weekend.
While the Cottagers did keep their sheets clean in their curtain-raiser at Everton, keeper Bernd Leno was in inspired form that day, not to mention Marco Silva's side have filed just two shutouts across their last 16 top-flight assignments.
With Arsenal are unlikely to be as wasteful as the toothless Toffees, backing the aforementioned Eddie Nketia to have goal involvement here at a shade under evens looks enticing.
One player who could be tasked with taming Nketia is Fulham's Calvin Bassey who looks poised for his Premier League start this weekend, and the Nigerian defender looks nicely priced to have his name taken at 5/1 (UniBet).
Bassey is not exactly renowned for being a card magnet but he could be set for a baptism of fire given the pace and flair that Arsenal possess in forward areas.
