ARSENAL will endeavour to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they entertain Brentford at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta's side lost for just the second time in the top-flight this season when they slumped to a 1-0 loss at a Sean Dyche-inspired Everton last weekend.
However, just over 24 hours later, second-placed Manchester City were unable to capitalise as they laboured to a 1-0 defeat at Tottenham.
That means the Gunners remain five points clear of Pep Guardiola's side with game in hand, although they will be desperate to bounce back at the first time of asking when Brentford come calling this weekend.
Thomas Frank's team have tasted defeat in just one of their last 112 Premier League matches, most recently sweeping aside Southampton in a 3-0 scoosh to victory.
In doing so, the Bees have moved up to seventh place in the standings and they have already demonstrated this season that they won't be fazed by the task in hand when they make the short trip across the capital on Saturday.

Arsenal, who have won eight of their nine Premier League home games this season, enter this all-London affair as short-priced 2/5 (Bet 365) favourites.

While Brentford are a team not to be underestimated, Mikel Arteta's men boast the only remaining unbeaten home record in the Premier League this season, with their goalless draw with Newcastle the only blot on their Emirates copybook.
What's more, a sizeable 11 of Arsenal's 16 overall league wins this season so far have featured for goals or fewer, and it could be a similar story here against a battled-hardened Brentford side.
Not only have Thomas Frank's team turned over Man City in their own backyard this term, but they have fallen to defeat in just four of their 21 Premier League outings this season to date, so there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the Bees can keep this contest competitive,
That being said, this is the type of assignment that Arsenal have been particularly efficient in dealing with in recent years, so I suspect that they will secure a solid if unspectacular win as they look to get their title tilt back on track.
