Andorra vs England

, KO: 17:00 , RCDE Stadium
England

England will resume their World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Andorra at the RCDE Stadium on Saturday evening.

Thomas Tuchel got his reign as England manager underway with a 2-0 win over Albania back in March, on a night where I delivered a trio of winners at Wembley.

The Three Lions followed up on that success by claiming a comfortable 3-0 win over Latvia in the English capital.

That pair of victories has seen England take an early stranglehold of Group K ahead of their latest assignment with Andorra.

The hosts, on the other hand, have come away empty-handed from each of their opening two qualifiers, losing to both Latvia and Albania.

Consequently, Koldo Alvarez’s side are already propping up the pool and it’s difficult to envisage that changing even at this early stage of the campaign.

How the bookies view it: Three Lions to feast

Unsurprisingly, England are heavy odds-on favourites on Saturday evening, with the visitors as short as 1/25 on Boylesports to emerge victorious.

Andorra are a whopping 40/1 on Boylesports to pull off a huge shock in their latest World Cup qualifier, while the draw is also considered unlikely at 8/1 with the same bookmaker.

Head to head: England seeking magnificent seven

England have come out on top in each of their previous six meetings with Andorra, the most recent of which were as recent as the qualifying stages for the 2022 World Cup. England won both halves and kept a clean sheet in each of those two victories and the same combination here stands out at 11/10 on Boylesports.

Players to watch: Kane to continue scoring?

Harry Kane has scored in each of his two outings for England under Thomas Tuchel’s watch and he looks well placed to extend that sequence against lowly Andorra. With Kane too short to side with as a single selection, instead combine the Three Lions skipper to strike alongside England in the Half Time/Full Time market at 4/5 on Boylesports.

Albert Rosas – who is expected to lead the line for Andorra on Saturday evening – is a 12/1 (Boylesports) anytime goalscorer option.

Predicted line-ups

Andorra boss Alvarez is expected to stick with the same set of players that came up short in each of their opening two qualifiers.

Trevoh Chalobah could be in line to make his England  debut after receiving his first call-up for the senior squad, however Marcus Rashford will miss out due to injury.

Andorra: Alvarez; Llovera, Nicolas, C Garcia, Olivera, M Garcia; Rubio, Rebes, Vales, Cervos; Martinez

England: Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Konsa, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly; Bellingham, Rice; Rogers, Eze, Saka; Kane

Anything else catch the eye?

The 11/10 on PaddyPower for England to win by a four-goal margin or more merits consideration on Saturday evening.

When the two nations crossed paths during the preliminary stages for the 2022 World Cup, England posted a pair of 5-0 and 4-0 wins respectively.

Given that Andorra fell to a 3-0 defeat against Albania last time out, there is plenty of scope for star-studded England to take top honours here by a margin of four goals or greater.
