Aberdeen ended their horror run last week with a routine Scottish Cup win at minnows Elgin City, but the challenge for the Dons is to resurrect their league campaign.
And they will face a tough challenge when St Mirren visit Pittodrie.
Jimmy Thelin's side have gone from one extreme to the other after 13 straight wins at the start of the season to 11 games without a success.
That ended with a 3-0 win at Borough Briggs and they have also made by far the most eye-catching moves in the Premiership so far with the Swede being well backed in the transfer market.
The Dons have splashed out not inconsiderable sums to land Kristers Tobers, Sandy Jensen, Alfie Dorrington and Jeppe Okkels and there will more to come in the attacking positions.
Saints made it through their own potential banana skin last week in the Cup with Queen of the South eventually seen off in Dumfries.
Buddies boss Stephen Robinson has also brought in Owen Oseni and brought back keeper Zach Hemming, with the latter a good addition after impressing in Paisley last term on loan.
However, like Aberdeen, they need to kick on in the league too after four defeats in a row.
How the bookies view it: Dons backed
Aberdeen are slightly odds-on at 20/21 with St Mirren 12/5 and the draw the same price all with Boylesports.
Recent head to heads: Host sides on top
There have been a home win apiece this season and that's par for the course when these sides meet with the Dons having a dreadful recent record in Paisley and St Mirren having won just twice in their last 22 visits to the North-east.
Players to watch: Duk breaks his duck
Duk finally opened his account for the season last week with a double against Elgin and the Cape Verde international will be hoping to kick on. He is 11/4 to score anytime with bet365.
Toyosi Olusanya continued his decent scoring record last week with his double moving him into double figures for the season. He is 17/5 to score anytime at Pittodrie with UniBet.
Predicted line-ups
Aberdeen's top scorer Papa Gueye finally made his comeback last week after three months out but he may have to settle for a place on the bench. Keeper Dimitar Mitov, Vincent Besuijen and Jack Milne are all out injured.
Saints will be without key defender Alex Iacovitti with a hamstring injury.
Aberdeen: Doohan, Devlin, Tobers, Rubezic, Jensen, Nilsen, Shinnie, Palaversa, Okkels, Nisbet, Duk.
St Mirren: Hemming, Penman, Fraser, Gogic, Taylor, Tanser, Phillips, O'Hara, Smyth, Olusanya, Mandron.
Anything else catch the eye?
Aberdeen should have taken a chunk of confidence from last week and although they have been on that dismal run, they are facing an inconsistent Saints side who have not been tearing up trees either.
On that four-game losing run, St Mirren only scored one goal and the Dons can edge this by a goal at 11/4 with Boylesports.
Aberdeen have really struggled to score too and although Gueye is back, it's hard to see this one being a classic full of goals.
Under 2.5 goals at 4/5 with Boylesports looks the call.
Aberdeen have plenty of options on the bench and it could be worth taking a punt of a draw at half time and a Dons win at full time too at 4/1 with Boylesports has a chance.
