WITH just 10 points separating second place and bottom spot the Scottish Premiership has become a tough place to pick results.
Take away Celtic and almost any team can beat another – even Dundee got in on the act last weekend at Hamilton to end a run of six defeats.
Second-placed Rangers have 19 points while the Dens men have nine so you can see what two wins in a row would do for any team.
Tonight's live TV offering is Partick Thistle v Aberdeen and it highlights the problems punters face.
Thistle have lost two in a row at Dundee and St Johnstone while back-to-back defeats against Hamilton and Celtic have ended talk the Dons could mount a title challenge.
Before that Aberdeen had won five in a row and were in cruise control. However the Dons – as they did at Hamilton – look too short at 10-11 with William Hill but are unbeaten in seven against the Jags.
Thistle are as big as 18-5 at betfair while the draw – which I'm favouring – is 31-11 at Marathonbet.
Historically, it's a low-scoring fixture but I'd be happy to take both to score at 6-7 with 188BET on this occasion as neither defence looks watertight.
Adam Rooney is as always first-scorer favourite at 17-5 with McBookie but for a bit value take James Maddison to score at 14-5 at McBookie. For Jags look at Kris Doolan to score at 11-4 with Betway.
Elsewhere tonight there is one Championship game between Brentford and Fulham. Both sides recorded impressive results last time out – the Bees winning 2-0 at QPR and Fulham humbling Huddersfield 5-0.
In a match between two confident sides go for both teams to score at 8-13 with 188BET.
Borussia M'gladbach are back in action after being held by Celtic on Tuesday. They have won four out of five at Hertha Berlin but have failed to net in four in the Bundesliga.
Hertha will be the fresher side after a free midweek and are worth the risk at 29-20 with McBookie.
