With Spurs' most recent fixture finishing in a shocking 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town, it goes without saying that boss Ange Postecoglou is facing mounting pressure on his job, as the club sit in 10th place with less than a 50% win rate. Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter is currently the favourite to replace the Australian.
Five wins and five losses from 11 games is not going to be enough to secure Spurs a European spot if their form continues in the same vein. This may be an unacceptable outcome for the Tottenham hierarchy, and thus the market has become more open on who would step into the role of Spurs boss, should Postecoglou lose his job. Multiple former and current Premier League managers are in line to take the helm at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Current favourites
Graham Potter – 6/1
Out of a job since his disastrous spell at Chelsea, former Brighton boss Graham Potter is the odds on favourite to succeed Postecoglou and drive Spurs back towards the European places. Merely 48 losses in 134 games at the Amex, it is safe to say that Potter has considerable quality in the managerial hot seat.
However, a poor spell at Chelsea which garnered only 12 wins from 31 games in charge resulted in his dismissal in April 2023, and he has been without a job since. A move to Spurs could be perfect for both parties, a chance for Potter to revive his career and an opportunity for the London club to have a manager with proven capabilities steer them back to the top six.
Roberto De Zerbi – 8/1
Another former Brighton boss, Roberto De Zerbi left the club in May 2024 in favour of a switch to Marseille. His tenure has started well, with six wins from his first 11 games with the club.
Proven to play an exciting and intricate brand of football, De Zerbi could be an excellent acquisition for Tottenham, as they have failed to get the best from key summer signing Dominic Solanke thus far. Despite performing well in France, there is nothing to suggest De Zerbi would not be tempted to a move back to England in the near future.
Eddie Howe – 8/1
Previously linked with the England job, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has a proven track record of success in English football. Selected Manager of the Decade at the Football League Awards in 2015, Howe guided Bournemouth from League One to the Premier League in three seasons, and kept them up during their first season in the top flight.
This impressive spell led him to depart the club after eight years and assume the managerial position at Newcastle, where he led a transformed side into the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. Howe has shown himself to be a pioneer in football management, developing young talent and selling them for great financial gain, which only furthered his excellent reputation.
Priced at 8/1 and rumoured to be seeking a move away from St. James' Park, Howe provides excellent value in the race to be the next Spurs boss.
