I SAID there would be goals in Belgium and Holland yesterday and there were.

Six of the seven matches produced but one of the three I picked finished 0-0 so that was disappointing.

That was my only bet and well done to any winners including Jordan with his Danish tip while Ace's two ball tip for members won by nine shots. He has posted a three ball for the second round.

Tonight sees the second leg of the Premiership play-off semi-final between Livingston and Dundee United and I expect Livi to sail through after winning 3-2 at Tannadice. United probably need to score first and going by the first game there will be plenty of mistakes and lots of goals. Should bring up btts and overs.

Elsewhere it's the start of the Championship play-offs with Derby hosting Fulham and it will be interesting to see Nathan's thoughts on this.

Fulham were the best team in the league in the second half of the season but blew it on the final day at Birmingham. They won 2-0 at Derby earlier in the campaign and with Derby's last five seeing both scoring that could be the call again.

In France it's a must-win game for Marseille at Guingamp as the continue to fight for a Champions League spot and Greg is lamenting the last round of French Ligue 2 so check out his goals bets later.

Greg's specials are with Sky Bet while William Hill have a couple of offers in shops – evens for over 32 and 7-2 for over 36.

I've not had much time to look at Friday's card but I'll be on Greg's tips and I'm happy to put a 2pts goals treble.

The biggest concern is the Derby game as first legs of play-offs can often be cagey but the home men will probably feel they need to win tonight to have a chance of going through so can't be over-cautious.

Five out of six of Guingamp's games have seen both to score and while Marseille may have an eye on the Europa League Final they can still book a CL spot by finishing top three in France so should be focused and goals looks the shout here.

Hi gents. Bigger card but not much favouring research so I’ll keep stakes lower. Another game in Denmark sees two teams in poor form. Nordsjaelland host Horsens in the championship group, but its only the home side essentially playing for something. All 7 of Nords’ games in the final stage of the season have seen both score and over 2.5 goals. Horsens have seen the same market land, but only have two clean sheets in 18 games. Torn between total or team goals here but chancing the home side as they have more to play for with European football possible if they can pick up a win tonight. They have scored 2+ in four of their last six at home, 3+ in three.

Double them up with Hartberg to score twice in Austria against BW Linz. The visitors have lost five of their last six, only scoring once and head to a Hartberg side who are pushing for automatic promotion.

    Norsjaelland – Denmark – 6:00PM
    Hartberg – Austria – 5:30PM

    11/10 @ 365 – 2.5 points

Add Over 2.5 Goals in two of the French Ligue 2 games between Quevilly Rouen/Lorient and Peronnas/Sochaux.

    Fourfold pays 35/10 @ 365 – 1 point

@jordan my pleasure. I followed your tip on Nordsjallen and Hartberg and it landed, unfortunately I took Hartberg to win but I guess it was not my day. They drew 2-2.

      Lesson learned.

Moving forward I will take @mrfixitstips advice to go for goals. Though they are usually short but they are safer bets.

Keep up with the good work and I will keep following.

@mr-fixit Fulham beat us 2-1 at our ground in March but we’d drawn 1-1 at Craven cottage earlier in the season. I was completely caught out by Fulham not doing the biz against Birmingham, I did think Cardiff would struggle to nail down those points in their last game against Reading. But Fulham failed to capitalise and so they join Aston Villa/Middlesbrough and Derby in the playoffs.
Just a side note: Had Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford not scored in the 93rd minute, Derby would of overtook them and we’d be facing Villa. Hid-sight is a wonderful thing but 4 years ago we had a chance to take Bamford on a season long loan but he never saw enough football and went to Borough – which led to him signing on a permanent. – He’s a player I think we should of grabbed but we didn’t.
This match-up between Derby and Fulham + the reverse fixture is probably the 2 stand out games of the playoff’s for the potential of end to end football. Stats do indeed point to a both teams to score with Derby’s last 5 at home all delivering and I think Fulham have scored in back to back away games for something like 15, 16 or 17 games. My fear is Sessignon, not Mitrovic. Sessignon is a future England player if he can keep doing what he’s doing and maybe ply his trade in a bigger club a tier above, regardless of whether Fulham go up or not. Incidentally, Mitrovic has scored 12 times in the league since the turn of the year ( a January transfer or maybe he was injured and had to wait for his chance – i’m not a Fulham fan so I don’t know the ins and outs of that one ) – but he’s scored more goals in 2018 than anyone else in the championship. Its not all one way traffic though for Fulham, they have to worry about Matej Vydra. The Derby hitman grabbed his 21st league goal of the season against Barnsley to edge out Lewis Grabben for the golden boot.
Derby’s form ( notoriously bad during Feb/March ) wasn’t that bad, there were just too many draws and with Vydra propping up the team with his goals and few signs of Nugent or Jerome pitching in, Derby dropped points and places and thankfully after the snowgate affair, we managed to thump Cardiff 3-1, 8 minutes from scraping a 1 nil away to another in form table chasing Villa ( ended 1-1 ), then we had what could be a banana skin hosting Barnsley for the last game of the season. That ended 4-1 to the rams with Jerome, Vydra, Nugent and Lawrence all grabbing a slice of the goals. We were not perfect but we put our chances away and sadly, Barnsley are now joining Sunderland and Burton in Div 1.
Fulham HAVE been the most consistent team in the league for the past 3 months and they must be really hurting over Birmingham denying them auto-promotion, but as a rams fan, I can sympathise with them, we played Sunderland, Sheff Wed and Leeds who couldn’t hit a bulls ass with a banjo, yet as soon as the rams team bus rolled up, all 3 of them handed us a new one. Complacency in football is a fools game !!
Aside from the 1-2 result in March, Derby have a very solid record against Fulham, if you’re a Fulham fan and go by stats, then they don’t look good. They’ve won once in 4 visits to derby, losing the previous 3. Derby have grabbed 7 pts from our last 3 league matches, none of them were easy matches. We’ve gained some momentum – helped with a 3-4-2-1 shape ( wingbacks ) – it is working. And Jerome has bagged a goal in his last 3 matches. Vydra has not started a game in the last 3 matches, he’s been a sub. We need him on the pitch for more than 30 mins and anyone eyeing up a terrific chance of an anytime goal-scorer tip, if Vydra starts, I’m certain he’ll burst the net.
Mytravic and Sessignon must be Fulham’s most obvious goal-scorers but we have changed from a 4-2-3-1 to 3 central defenders + wingbacks with 3 in the middle, 2 supporting 1 striker. Jerome seems to of hit a bit of form, Lawrence also, Weimann and Nugent have all added extra potency up front and this past 3 matches, we’ve played the first 60 mins with Vydra on the bench. But more importantly, the wingbacks add width which we’ve been missing and the 3 in the middle is paying dividends. I do think Fulham have it in them to score against us, but they’re not playing the same ” no plan-b” side that stuck to a rigid 4-2-3-1, its a more balanced side.
I also recall Steve Bruce’s Hull tearing Derby apart 3 nil at Derby in the first leg a few seasons back after we’d took them apart in the league home and away. Derby headed to Hull, got 2 goals inside 15 mins and had Hull camped in their last 1/3rd for the last 75 mins. Hull hung on for dear life to win 3-2 on aggregate.
Fulham have not been so lucky in the playoffs. This stat needs checking so please adjust/tweak as you see fit if I’ve got my numbers wrong. I’m certain Fulham have not progressed through the playoffs in 7 attempts. I read that somewhere. Not sure if it includes the small matter of that tiny game in 2 weeks time in the capital, I think it just means the 2 leg semi… again please check.

I’m quietly confident that Derby will win tomorrow, Derby have a renewed sense of purpose, its been evident in the last 3 matches and they’ll know Fulham will be a bit winded over their last match result. It could go horribly wrong for Fulham over 2 legs… but, statistically, those finishing 3rd have a 1 in 3 chance of being promoted, hence them being around 1/2 to touchdown in the land of ” even higher wages – lower standards ” football.
I know that Derby are not equipped to cope with the premiership and Mrs Morris has already hidden Mels cheque book for next year promising the end of high wages, opting for new, young players.

But these are what i’m interested in: ( I did price checks with betfair a few days ago, so I won’t put up prices )

    Derby win – Yes
Over 2.5 total goals – very probable
    BTTS – very probable
Vydra ATGS ( If he starts ) – probable – very probable
Sessignon or Mytrovic ATGS – probable – very probable
    Cards overs 3.5 – Yes
Corners – over 12 should come in, quite possible over 13 if you’re as confident this will be 2 sides going for it from the off. ( that should be a recipe for cards and corners ).

I’ve done a betbuilder with betvictor and scooped up some free bets too ( one of which I’ve already banked £40 ) – my £10 is on Derby win/overs 2.5 tmgs, over 13.5 corners, over 3.5 cards, Vydra ATGS. £10 pays around £230 or so.
A word of caution, bet365 will allow the above bet without the Vydra component and I think the treble pays more than my quad, but since I still have a bee in my bonnet over that fake-ass game involving fielding an ineligle player for French Guiana and ignoring the Fifa official scoreline of 3 nil to Costa Rica, I won’t bet with them.

I have shed loads on tomorrow, still have sleep to do, and somehow fit everything in BUT I will post up team news around 7pm where I expect to be raring to go – at my buddy’s with a cold beer ready.

Sorry if I’ve missed anything, good luck later if I don’t get chance to post before 7pm.

I will bite my lip, knowing this post will probably end up in the spam and be reposted. Thanks in advance, and apologies for the length. There’s just that much to include.

    Morning gents,

I love this time of the year; sun, longer nights, BBQ’s…but most of all I like it because I’m drawn back to the Icelandic Leagues!

It’s a healthy card but my attention is drawn to one particular game which those Icelandic stalwarts Coral have obligingly offered 147 early markets for…

THRÓTTUR REYKJAVÍK VS. FRAM (2015 KO):

1 Deild action here and both teams started their campaign with a point apeice after 1-1 and
    2-2 draws respectively.

Throttur hold the most recent bragging rights between the two having won all 3 of 2017’s H2H’s with victory margins of 0-4, 2-1, 2-3

The hosts 2016-2017 League saw a mixed picture but home form stood out with team goals of 4-2-2-2-2-2-1-3-2-2-1 scored – that’s to say that Throttur scored at least a brace in all but 2 of their home matches during the last campaign!

One selection for me and I’m sweet as hell on it:

    THROTTUR OVER 1.5 TGS…8/11
    ?????

    Best of luck ?

I’d have taken the goal line if it was O4.5 but O5.5 seemed a little too high at the prices. I was ruing that decision when it was 2-0 after 12 minutes, but at 2-0 at HT I’m thinking it might have been the right call. Bookies aren’t budging in-play either with O4.5 now at 4/6. Too short for me so I think I’ll be leaving it.

    Posted on yesterday’s thread:

    Quevilly Rouen v Lorient

I seem to remember the final day in the French Ligue 2 throwing up some real drama last season as someone snatched a last minute promotion (something like that). This year, there are similar permutations with 4 sides realistically battling it out for two remaining playoff spots and three sides looking to escape relegation, or at least make the relegation play-off.

Quevilly Rouen need a win to keep their hopes of reaching that relegation play-off alive. Problem is they are visited by Lorient who know a win themselves will ensure a playoff berth should Brest or Le Havre drop points and Clermont fail to overtake them on goal difference.

That to me means an open game. I’ve followed Greg on the goals total each week but once again Sky Bet have moved the line higher – this time to 32+ goals. I’ve just seen him NAP it though, so I’ll likely still follow! ? But for now I’m taking the chance that Quevilly can bag despite their erratic scoring form with the stakes being so high.

    Half Stake:

Quevilly can beat Bourg to the relegation ‘playoff’ match if they win and Bourg lose. I think this involves playing the 3rd placed side from the French National for a chance to remain in Ligue 2.

Quevilly aren’t down yet – they need to win and hope Bourg lose and they will go into the play-off.

      Mr Fixit 7 years ago

      I don’t what you’re looking at but Quevilly’s goal difference is -24 and Bourg’s -38.
I’ve already said Quevilly need a win and hope Bourg lose.
If Bourg win they go above Nancy – have a look at the latest league table.

    • Avatar of Sam Hill

Nancy by 35 point suppose to be safe , Quevilly or Bourg depends on tonight’s results

    • Avatar of William Guild
      williegee 7 years ago

Inter, If Bourg win & Nancy get beaten then Bourg will have 36 points & Nancy 35 meaning Nancy would need to play the relegation play-off. If Quevilly win & Bourg get beaten ,then both teams would be on 33 points, with Quevilly having a better goal difference they would go above Bourg, who would be relegated, and Quevilly would be in the play-off, Nancy would then be safe. So as you see there is still a lot to play for in these games. I hope this help explain things!

A good find by Mr F – William Hills are 1/1 for 32+ goals (NAP) – Again we should see 3 or 4 games hitting 4/5+ Goals

Quite a few matches I fancy for goals and if the the last two seasons on the last day ( 36 and 38 goals ) are anything to go by we should be in for a treat, as we have the last few months

    Le Harve v Tours
    Bourg v Sochaux

Ober 2.5 match goals double 99/10 (Matathonbet)

Goal before 10 mins and 30 mins at:

    Catarrh action at dinner, and I don’t mean the after-effects of a heavy night on the Jameson’s & B&H 20 deck….

Al Sadd v Al Duhail – Qatar Cup – 5PM
    Over 2.5 mgls
    2/5

    Odds are rather low for Overs, so I’m adding it to the following double;

    -Double-
    Al Sadd v Al Duhail
    Nordsjaellend v Horsens
    Over 2.5 mgls
    EVENS
    2 POINTS

    and a small stake on this 4-Fold I rate for Overs;
    Al Sadd v Al Duhail
    Nordsjaellend v Horsens
    Wolfsburg II v Eintracht Norderstedt
Levadia Tallinn v JK Tallinna Kalev
    Over 2.5 mgls
    2.65/1

I drive you crazy posting things on here? What the f@#k are you talking about ???? How am I full of it when we win – every fan is happy when their team wins, and gutted when they lose, that’s football.

I’m level headed with my opinions about United and other teams. But please enlighten us Football Guru as to why you’re so superior.

I’m born and raised in Manchester and life here thanks. Didn’t travel down to the West Ham game no, I go to the home games… Wales ain’t exactly next door to Old Trafford is it.

And whats that saying about people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones?? Trying to be helpful is one thing, but pointing fingers and acting like a know-it-all is another.

World cup starts June 14th, can’t wait.
Bookies price most games evens or above for Btts so rich pickings if you can identify the right ones.

I backed Egypt to beat Russia about 3 months ago at 4-1, a price I thought was huge probably because Russia are host’s, but they are crap and Egypt have salah.
It’s about 7-2 at best now so bookies seem to have caught on.
Also I notice they have uruguay and Egypt to qualify from group A at 9-2 which I will be all over.

    Derby team news:

    Carson
    Keogh/Davies/Forsyth
    Wisdom/Weimann
    Huddlestone/Johnson
    Vydra/Lawrence
    Jerome

Formation is a 3-4-2-1 with wing backs. Ollson picked up a knock and Weimann who seems to run and run has switched out to that left wing back position. The big news though is that Vydra gets his first start in 4 matches. A no-brainer really. He has 90 mins to burst the onion bag.
I won’t say confidence is riding sky high amongst the Derby fans but the general concensus is that if we get in their faces rather than sit back, we should push them aside and take a lead into Mondays game and really put the pressure on them. Fulham won’t want to go at Derby guns blazing because Derby can and will break quickly. We are underdogs at our own ground and that suits us. Few people ( myself included ) gave us much hope of making the playoffs after the Sunderland embarrassment, but Fulham git to experience the feeling of being beaten by a side that they’d already chalked off as an easy 3 points. If Derby allow them too much time on the ball and we sit back, it will bite us in the ass.
Jerome has hit 4 goals in 3 games, our talisman Vydra is back on the goals, Weimann, Wisdom, Nugent and Lawrence have all upped their game and this past 3 league matches have given us a platform to push on. Fulham lost their winning streak and i’m sure they’ll want to make amends, but can they??
The 2 sides man for man are not that different, there’s quality right through both squads.
I have a sneaky suspicion we might get a 2-1 or maybe a 3-1 tonight. A 1 goal advantage to take into Mondays match would be a small advantage, but 2 goals would set Monday up for a match where Fulham would have to really go for it. Would they really want to go all out against a team knowing that their opposition is going to counterattack them for 90 mins?? If Fulham have a plan in place, they’ll play for a draw or try for a small hard fought 1 nil to take home to Mondays game.
Derby’s team is starting to click and the pressure of expectation is all off us and on Fulham.

    Choice bets for me tonight:

    Derby win – Yes
    Btts – Yes
    Over 2.5 tmgs – Yes

given the occasion and the I think both teams will go for it end-to end, I think the cards and corners count will be high too

over 12 corners total – Yes
    over 3.5 cards – Yes

Vydra in the starting 11, Vydra ATGS Yes

Incidentally, just found out Marcus Ollson has been confirmed as missing the start of next season as he’s got an ACL injury.
Good luck guys, hope there’s something in there that someone can make some dosh on.

No Vydra goal, but 2 changes for Derby, Jerome off, Nugent on, Vydra off and Anya on. Attacking changes, probably tired legs but we need to try to get out our own half. Fulham are really putting on the pressure and pressing very high.
Cards market has been a disappointment as have the goals and corners but the 1 nil so far is one foot in the door. Fulham have got a lot of the ball and have wasted chances.

The Night Owl sees me skulking over the Chilean borders with my pet lip firmly stuck out after the Icelandic flop…time yet for a shot at redemption…

COLO-COLO VS. DEPORTES IQUIQUE (0000 KO):

The write-up is brief; whilst Colo are clearly the better side, both teams most recent games have seen goals for and against (3-1, 1-2 and 2-2, 2-2 respectively) – H2H’s match with scorelines of 1-1 and 3-2 in the last two.

Of the 4 games above featuring Colo, the hosts have scored at least 1 team goal in the 1st half – it’s too short to take on at 4/7 here but the unspellable Iquique love an early goal as well:

    Three selections to consider:

    BTTS…8/11
    ???

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…21/20
    ??

    BTTS 1ST HALF…10/3
    ?

    Best of luck ?
