THE day began and ended with two cracking Premier League games – and two shocks.
Duncan Ferguson managed to get a tune out of Everton and while teams usually react well to managers being sacked you've got to ask where that performance came from just days after being hammered by Liverpool.
Same can be said about Man United who produced an exceptional display to win at Man City – no one but maccathered saw that coming – certainly no one else tipped it before the game.
I had my doubts about a home win after a few shaky performances but thought goals were a safer bet and that tip landed in the end as well as my Marcus Rashford to score prediction.
Some of my accas were close but no winners but at least Annan netted in injury time to land a 17-10 Super Single and keep losses to a minimum. And my Daily Record Super Single landed thanks to Motherwell so that's four out of four over the last two Saturdays.
Well done to all the winners including Greg with his Hibs Nap – he really should change from supporting St Johnstone and back the Edinburgh men as they've won him a fortune this season.
Monaco's evening thrashing of Amiens landed Scott's Euro treble and his both to score treble like mine was beaten by one goal.
And after his success on Man United maybe macca will consider swapping one reds outfit for another.
Today it's all about the Betfred Cup Final and I'm hoping for a cracker between Rangers and Celtic. I'm finding it hard to split the teams but I agree if Celtic's big players turn up they deserve to be favourites. Check out my thoughts and tips from the experts on the site here.
In the Premier League today the big game is Aston Villa v Leicester and I like the look of Leicester and both to score. New-born Newcastle are at home to an improving Southampton and that could be a draw.
Two promoted sides – Norwich and Sheffield Utd – meet at Carrow Road and I can see United returning to winning ways after a bad defeat by Newcastle on Thursday.
And finally it's Brighton v Wolves and again this could be a stalemate with Brighton on a high after winning at Arsenal.
In the Championship West Brom are trying to return to the top as they host Swansea and there are plenty of big games to look at on the Continent.
It's mostly about goals today and I've picked out both to score trebles from home and abroad as well as a Top Treble.
The Top Treble starts with Union Berlin who are going for four home wins in a row against a struggling Cologne.
Add Newcastle not to lose at home to Southampton as they look a decent price to win at 8-5. Steve Bruce is doing a great job under severe pressure and they've climbed to 11th after one defeat in six. They're not great to watch but Bruce is playing to his side's strengths and at St James' they're getting the crowd behind them again and that's like an extra man.
Southampton are also on the up after taking four points from games at Arsenal and home to Watford. They have goals in them, and Danny Ings is on a nice run of form, but since losing nine against Leicester they've conceded 10 in five so defence remains a problem.
Complete the treble with Sevilla not to lose at Osasuna. Sevilla have climbed to third behind Real Madrid and Sevilla with a run of five wins in a row and triumphed on their last two visits here. Osasuna can't be written off and could end Sevilla's run of clean sheets but I fancu the away win at at worst Sevilla not to lose.

11/13 of Sassuolo’s league games have saw at least 3 goals, 7/7 when playing at home.
For visitor’s Cagliari it reads 7/14 games seeing at least 3 goals which isn’t exactly great, 2/6 when on the road. 4 out of their last 5 though have saw the 3 goal line at least and that along with Sassuolo’s stats seals the deal for me.

Not sure what your thoughts are on the NFL today but I feel like BET365 have priced the handicaps too much in their favour.
Only one that looks certified is the Seahawks being spotted points, can’t see them losing today especially with the Rams not having home field.
The other one surely must be the over on the 49ers and Saints game, both teams both have good defenses but can easily put more than 44 points on the board.

Few picks I like the look of, seahawks are my second choice pick for Super Bowl and backed them at 18/1 and 25/1 for it, if it weren’t for the rams offence actually performing last week I’d be all over that spread, still think seattle will cover it but I’m not willing to have a max out stake on it like I was going to. San Fran vs the saints is a tough one to call, I like the browns at home against the bengals if we can get -6.5 on them, Kansas vs Pats is my best bet at overs points totals, as you said if your offence comes out struggling again and punt 3-5 times for that mahomes offence TD’s will be scored and you’ll be chasing the game which will lead to big points totals IMO, think your offence will come good today tho after last week
And San Fran vs New Orleans could go over but it could easily go the opposite way and finish unders as San Fran have been great defensively this year, it can go against the grain and be a point fest but I think unders could be likely there, so not touching it with a barge pole!

Brady seems pretty ticked off with player positioning and communication, I watched a breakdown last week where he was signally Dorset to do a double move completely went over Dorset’s head and he’s been in the offense for a while now. There was another in the end zone as well where Dorsett had the man beat but sat on the route instead of running further into the back of the end zone which it Amendola or Hogan were playing would’ve been an easy TD in real time it look like Brady sailed the pass but it was shit receiver work. I was hammering the price on Cluj to beat Celtic even before the League Cup final, since I expect not many would be focussed on that game yet. The 5/4 on Cluj at home, looks huge. Celtic already won the group, have nothing to play for and will be resting big players for the busy Xmas fixture. Cluj by contrast, have to win, with Lazio breathing down their necks for the qualification place. 5/4 still available (maybe because focus is is still on Champions League ties Tues/Weds) but it can’t last – it surely must go odds-on as soon as the market wakes up to it.
