I FINISHED the month on a high with 8-1 and 10-1 winners.
A big-priced treble paid 8s thanks to Burnley draw no bet, Ayr and over 2.5 goals and Cowdenbeath +1.
And the moneyback fivefold landed at 10-1 thanks to an all-tartan affair of Hibs, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Raith and Montrose.
My goals bets were losers but the biggest disappointment was the Super Single with Clyde well beaten at Peterhead while Napoli beat the European treble.
That means I finished the month 1pt up on the singles which is better than losing but more than 20pts in profit on the accas which I'd take every month.
A 90th-minute goal by Morton landed the members' bet so it was a good day all round.
Well done to all the winners and they included Greg with his Nap and one other and Desmond with his 2+ double for the second time in two days.
Easter Sunday sees two Premier League – Arsenal v Stoke and Chelsea v Spurs as well as Dundee v Hearts. The Gunners should win at a short price while the Chelsea result could depend on the fitness of Spurs striker Harry Kane.
There are plenty of league games to look at in Spain, Germany and France and I've added tips to the Super Single I posted last night.
That was Hearts who are decent value at 17-10 with William Hill as they battle too book a top-six slot. Dundee are fighting to avoid a relegation play-off and have lost their last three without scoring while the Jambos returned to form in their previous game by beating Partick Thistle 3-0.
It doesn't look the most thrilling of fixtures but Hearts are defensively strong and I can see them winning 1-0 or 2-0.
My goals treble is based on h2h and stats with two from Holland featuring high-scoring duo Ajax and Feyenoord – two sides likely to win and concede. The treble is completed by Troyes v Nice and again Nice could win this while allowing a goal for the home men.
For the Top Treble I'm starting with both to score at Werder Bremen v Eintracht Frankfurt. Btts and over 3.5 goals has come up in Bremen's last three while Eintracht have netted 12 in six.
Add Villarreal not to lose at a Malaga side that's almost doomed. They are 13 points off safety and are in terrible form having not scored in four. Villarreal are battling for a Europa League place and beat Atletico Madrid last time out.
Complete the treble with Lyon where I also think there will be a few goals. They're in a fight with Marseille for third and having exited the Europa League should be able to concentrate on that bid. They beat Marseille in their last game and have won three out of four.

LAFC – Expansion team being backed by some of the Hollywood stars, they sound like they mean business and first thing first is to be the biggest team in LA. It will be hard with the history of Galaxy but bringing in Carlos Vela up front, some experienced MLS players and Bob Bradley as manager they are not messing about. With any expansion team I think they will struggle at the start but give them a few weeks I think they will get it together and will be a tough team to crack. Potential to get into the playoffs but a team to follow over the next few years to see how they fit into the league. 40/1

We start April in Spain with Malaga at home to Villarreal. The hosts look set for the drop and have lost six of their last seven at home, with Villarreal pushing for Europe, although a Champions League place might be a reach. However they should profit from their trip. They’ve not been great on the road, but they’ve scored in 10 of their last 11 road games, and I like their goal time.

Man City ticket office, i attended City v Monaco last season so i am now a ‘Cityzen’ and have access to buy tickets, was surprised there was tickets left, hadn’t even thought about going until i got the email saying tickets on sale.
Thats weird you would have needed to have attended all the champs league games to qualify,maybe City can’t fill their stadium,i got tickets but only one per person for the away leg.

This Arsenal side are starting to click and they’ve been impressive In their last few matches. They are back on home turf again and I can’t see anything but a comfortable Arsenal win. Strasbourg haven’t been playing that great of late however Metz have been even worse, conceding a total of 56 goals already this season. Strasbourg will see this as an opportunity to gain 3 points and away from the drop zone. Metz have already resigned themselves for the drop.

As i’m probably not going to be awake to see my beloved Derby lose another game which should see us slide right out of the top 6, I have decided to keep it simple and post up what I think is probably Derby’s starting 11.
We’ll play the standard 4-2-3-1 formation because the manager doesn’t have a plan b’ and we’ve either sold or loaned out all our best players this past 2.5 years. The best news is yet to come; prior to kickoff, the owner, Mr ” moneybags ” Mel Morris said we lost 7 mill last year and after trimming the wage bill by 1.5 mill on what we were spending last year, that wage bill IS gonna come down and we’ll sell some of our assets. I presume by the definition ‘ assets ‘ – he means he’s gonna sell the fans to a championship rival.
Anyway, looking at how poorly we played the last match against a side that couldn’t buy a win prior to kickoff, Sunderland slaughtered us. This may surprise you, but my honest thoughts at the time we’re ” Jesus f*cking Christ “, Derby were abysmal, Sunderland were actually quite good. But now I’ve had time to digest that last game, I have come to two conclusions:
1: I’m glad we got hammered, this should put a fire up the ass of everyone from Mel Morris right down to the boot cleaner – manager included. Our current form is probably the worst in the league and how much more time Gary Rowett has, if results continue, i’ll clear his desk for him, I have Mike Bassett on speed dial.
2. If by some stroke of luck, we manage to stay in the playoffs and win a seat in the holy land, Derby will be capitulated and probably relegated before New years eve. We are not anywhere near ready to compete in that league because we cannot even compete in this one.
On reflection of how bad we were, I have decided to post up my pre-match expected team news, read into it what you will !!
