Burnley have had a tough start to life back in the Premier League with matches against champions Manchester City, resurgent Tottenham Hotspur and a solid Aston Villa side led by the crafty Unai Emery.
That’s left them pointless after three games, second bottom of the table and looking up.
It’ll be a source of frustration for Vincent Kompany that his side were denied the chance to get some points on the on board against fellow promoted side Luton Town after their game was postponed, but tonight presents an opportunity to show what they’re capable of.
The Clarets won at Nottingham Forest a matter of weeks ago, a 1-0 victory in the Carabao Cup which, by all accounts, was a pretty drab affair, so they’ll go to the City Ground with some confidence despite their lowly league position.
Forest will be pleased with their start to the season, six points from a possible 12 including an elusive away win. That came against a listless Chelsea whilst the other win was against Sheffield United who have picked up just a point from their opening five matches.
Home advantage sees the Tricky Trees at 23/20 to win with the visitors at 23/10. Ideally we’d want a little bit bigger on Burnley but it could be best to take them in the Draw No Bet market where they’re 11/8.
Kompany’s men were famed for their possession-based football last season and they’ve fared pretty well in their four games against Premier League opposition. Only Manchester City have dominated possession against them but Burnley won the corner count that day (6-5), as was the case against Spurs (7-4) and the meeting with Forest at the City Ground (9-3).
They’re 21/20 to win the corner match bet but it could be better to side with them to take five or more at 8/11 or six or more at 11/8 – something they’ve done in three of their four outings.

On paper this game looks primed for goals but I wouldn’t be fooled. You can look at the head to head and any Arsenal fan will tell you it’s a fixture that is usually tight, even I know that and that’s not going off any stat. There’s been some good Arsenal teams down the years (better than the current one) that’s played this fixture and they have still been dull affairs, the same can be said of PSV. Arsenal play Spurs at the weekend which is a big game so If Arsenal have any sort of lead at the 60 minute mark Arteta might be inclined to shut up shop.

Atleti have started the season very well, but lost 3-0 at the weekend away to Valencia, whereas Lazio have played 4 league games, winning one and losing three.. they don’t seem to be the team of last season. Zirkzee is now the main striker at Bologna following Arnautovic leaving in the summer. Last year he made 19 appearances mostly as a sub. He managed 29 shots averaging 3.18 shots per 90.
