Monday’s football tips: Newcastle stopper Burn a tempting 3/1 for over 1.5 fouls against Liverpool

Games between Newcastle United and Liverpool are usually essential viewing and there's added spice tonight after a summer dominated by the Alexander Isak saga.

The Swede has infuriated the Toon Army by trying to force through a move to Anfield so don't expect him to be trotted out to make the half-time draw at St James' Park tonight.

Newcastle drew a blank without him against 10-man Aston Villa last weekend but they will fancy their chances against a Reds defence that was breached twice by Bournemouth in the Premier League curtain raiser.

Although Liverpool have conceded four goals across their opening two games of the new season, they have also netted six times.

New signings Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike seem to have added a new dimension in attack while Mo Salah is as reliable as ever.

Inter Milan vs Torino

It will be interesting to see if Inter Milan have a hangover from their traumatic end to last season when they kick off their new Serie A campaign against Torino tonight.

The San Siro giants were pipped to the title by Napoli then suffered even more heartache as they were demolished by PSG in the Champions League Final.

Boss Simone Inzaghi then left and Christian Chivu took charge for the Club World Cup, where Inter bowed out in the last 16 with a loss to Fluminense.

BoyleSports still make them 4/9 hot favourites tonight to defeat a Torino side who finished 11th in the table last term.

That's probably because Inter have won the last six meetings, with Torino failing to score in five of those games.

Chivu's side conceded in three of their four games at the Club World Cup though so BTTS could offer some value tonight at 20/23. Adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to 13/10.

Inter will lean on Lautaro Martinez for inspiration again this season and their star striker is 21/20 to start the campaign with a goal.

Athletic Bilbao vs Rayo Vallecano

Athletic Bilbao were a model of consistency in La Liga last season and will be out to make it two wins from two in the new campaign when they host Rayo Vallecano tonight.

Rayo also got off to a winning start last weekend and followed that up by beating Neman Grodno of Belarus in the Conference League play-offs.

But playing on a Thursday night then travelling back from Hungary could take a toll and BoyleSports make Bilbao 8/11 favourites with home advantage.

The Basques should have most of the pressure so I like the 23/20 on offer at BoyleSports for Athletic -2.5 in the corner handicap. That bet has landed in three of the last four meetings.

Vallecano have had three or more shots on target in their last three games with Bilbao, so the evens on offer for Athletic keeper Unai Simon to make over 2.5 saves could also pay off.
