JOHNB is back in black for May after his sole tip for Sunday provided a double stake 4-1 winner.

He's now in 7.95pts in profit for the month and hoping for two in a row with another joint nap and NB on Monday.

JohnB's Monday Tip

Windsor 8:20
Stolen Story 6-1 NAP/NB Bet365 Coral (double stake)

Good luck folks and post your racing tips and chat here.

    well done today john

    enjoy your holiday

  2. Acelightning 3 years ago

I have to just say my props to John. I do his points religiously and consistently end up with huge profits, I then go and burn that paper trying other tipsters attempts at So called more profitable ways, pants to them.

I’ll just just stick solely to my man John’s way.

  3. RobRoy 3 years ago

Got it at 6/1 thanks John

  4. Duncan Poundcake 3 years ago

Nothing much on the telly so I was going to settle down with a nice handicap ,then realized that they will probably be a multitude of non runners and I would be wasting my time GL.

Magic circle 6/1 2.10 Don bet365 (I will be doing E/W which I am almost certain he will place if not win)

Stable is banging in the winners and this he should do much better as a 3 year old now handicapping and stepped up in trip.

He has already gone down from 9/1 so think quick and good luck.

Duncan I abandoned looking after I saw the weather report, looks like a great big puddle over Doncaster and up to Musselburgh,as I was going to point out Shared Equity,4.25 Doncaster, but will wait until tomorrow

  9. dougiec 3 years ago

Possibly jibber jabber,Yovan,When Duncan put up Sampera I had a good look at the race, but easier races out there.I ended up with 5 so now seeing davyb has it Ive just stuck a fiver on at 9/1.

Weather permitting but CYFLYMDER @ 16/1 5.20 mussel looks overpriced considering he was 2nd in the race last year off 50 and is in here off 48 for this years race.

  13. Johny Banker 3 years ago

I am a big fan of Johnb but today I have got to go against him because I do very strongly fancy @ 8-1 PEACE PRIZE to win this race the horse & stable are in top form it won with plenty in hand on soft ground last time is very lightly raced and is open to plenty of improvement and has only been put up 5lb with just 9 runners this looks to be a GILT EDGE e/w BANKER BET and as a saver I will do a r/f with STOLEN STORY

  14. cobramint 3 years ago

Monday means flat racing at Windsor and SHIFTING POWER (7.20) can bring further success to the team of Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes in the feature Listed Royal Windsor Stakes over the extended mile. The colt held his form well last term in the highest grade, finishing 4th in a stellar renewal of the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, before chasing home
Champion Miler Kingman in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh. He ran a creditable third on ground less than ideal last month at Sandown and that should have blown the cobwebs accordingly for him to get his head in front for the first time in over a year.

Sir Michael Stoute’s VOICE CONTROL (8.20) similarly finished an excellent third on his seasonal debut last month, which will have him spot on for the competitive mile and a half handicap. The selection boasts an impressive middle-distance pedigree, should relish the step in trip and can shed the maiden tag at the fourth time of asking under Ryan Moore.

Stoute should taste success in the afternoon at Doncaster with Paul Hanagan riding MUSTAAQEM (3.50) for boss Sheikh Hamdan Al Makhtoum. The colt finished an excellent second in a notoriously warm renewal of the Wood Ditton at Newmarket and with the form of that race already working out well, he looks a sure-fire winner in waiting for connections.

Geoff Oldroyd’s JAMAICAN BOLT (4.25) is a regular on Town Moor and can give weight and a beating to his 15 rivals in the 7f handicap. The 7-y-o has finished a creditable sixth in a brace of handicaps since returning from an abscence of five months and should be stripped fitter ahead of his 9th career start at the South Yorkshire track.

SIMPLE ASSIGNMENT (6.00) can continue the excellent form of the Warren Greatrex yard making his debut handicapping in the opener at Towcester. The 6-y-o son of Westerner made a winning debut under rules when landing a Sedgefield bumper however has disappointed over timber and is yet to place in his three starts of hurdles at Doncaster, Huntingdon and Kempton. A return to the minimum trip combined with Gavin Sheehan back in the plate can see him potentially well-treated to out-run his lenient looking opening mark of 104.

Kim Bailey’s BY THE BOARDWALK (7.00) was unfortunate to bump into one last week when chasing home Dan Skelton’s well-backed Thinger Licht at Worcester and the gelding can go one better in the Handicap Chase over three miles. The son of Presenting has yet to get his head in front from six starts over the larger obstacles however put his best foot forward last time out, and the winner has franked the form subsequently. He jumped like a stag on ground less than ideal last week however should be able to make amends under excellent 3lb Conditional Tom Bellamy.

DIVINE SPEAR (8.30) is related to plenty of winners and is a fascinating runner for Nicky Henderson in the concluding bumper. The selection’s price rose to 40,000 (from 26,000) guineas when sent through Tattersalls last summer and this well-bred son of Oscar looks the ideal type to make a winning debut under rules and Nico De Boinville doing the steering.

Tony Martin was unlucky with Quick Jack’s second in the Chester Cup midweek however TED VEALE (5.40) should be able to make amends for connections at Killarney. The selection plies his trade on the flat, over hurdles and over fences however he thrives over timber and rated 144, has upwards of a stone in hand against his six rivals and can claim a nice pot under Irish Champion Jockey Ruby Walsh.

YOUR BUSY (7.40) won last year’s Munster National and at his forecast price of 5/1 with BetVictor should reward each-way support and go close once more. The apple of trainer James Nash’s eye warmed up with an excellent second at last month’s Aintree Festival and, despite an 11lb rise since last term’s success, should remain competitive under last year’s winning rider David Casey.

Big drift on PRESSURE in the 5.30, I’ve made another bet at the increased odds

  77. Alanm 3 years ago

Trainer Ben Pauling does well with his runners at Towcester and he has double prospects there this evening.

The Gloucestershire-based handler has sent 16 horses to the track since he started training in 2013 and nine (56.25%) have obliged. His COSWAY SPIRIT is responsible for a third of those wins and the eight-year-old will appreciate the return after finding Stratford too sharp when runner-up as favourite there last time. Prior to that he’d finished second again when failing by just half a length at Huntingdon and he’s clearly at the top of his game right now.

In truth, he’s a hard ride and needs plenty of stoking, while he’s also a stone higher in the weights than winning here by an eased down 16 lengths three starts back. That said, he’s the sort of horse the handicapper is always going to struggle to get a handle on and he’s several pounds better at Towcester than anywhere else. He also goes particularly well for today’s pilot David Bass, who has steered him to two of his three victories and is likely to adopt aggressive tactics.
