Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

Hibs are looking nailed on for third place as they aim to cap a remarkable turnaround in fortunes and they can cover a two-goal handicap at champions Celtic this week.

David Gray's side's rollercoaster season has been nothing short of sensational, having gone from being rock bottom of the Premiership at the start of November to being on the brink of being the best of the rest.

They managed that courtesy of an incredible 17-match unbeaten run in the league which also included a win against the Hoops at Easter Road.

Hibs did finally lose that run at Aberdeen, but bounced back in impressive style with a win against Dundee United last week.

They face a Celtic side who have already won the title and got through the last Old Firm game of the season.

Priority for Brendan Rodgers will be wrapping his players up in cotton wool for the Scottish Cup Final later this month.
You'll get far worse bets than the 17/2 for Hibs to win, but McBookie.com's evens for them with a two-goal start looks a great shout.

Annan Athletic produced an outstanding display to win the first leg of their League One play-off at Elgin City in midweek and they can finish the job at home at 6/5 with McBookie.com.

Elgin have been in good form leading up to the game, but they found Wullie Gibson's men too hot to handle and Annan eased to a 4-2 win at Borough Briggs.

Annan are a strange team who have struggled for most of the season, but still manage to produce the odd exceptional result as they did the other week too when they hammered champions Arbroath 5-1.

They have the Tommy Goss and Tommy Muir partnership back fit again and they both scored in Moray.

They will want to put the tie to bed as soon as possible.

St Mirren can make it interesting in the race for a European spot by beating injury-hit Dundee United at 19/10 at Tannadice with McBookie.com.

Saints have no pressure now having secured a top six finish for the third season in a row- the only team outside the Old Firm to do so.

They ended Aberdeen's good run of form last week and a win on Saturday would take them to within two points of United.

United are down to just one fully fit defender for the game with four players having injury doubts too.
