Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

Hearts have enjoyed more noise surrounding them than for decades this season as their lofty ambitions of winning the league were unveiled by Tynecastle investor Tony Bloom.

And they can put to bed any notion of their bubble bursting after a ropey couple of weeks by winning at Livingston at 23/20 with McBookie.com.

Under new boss Derek McInnes, Hearts started the season on fire and blew teams away in the League Cup.

But a penalty shoot out loss at St Mirren in the League Cup set them back – especially after they had been so vocal about winning a trophy.

Then last week, they somehow went three goals down at home to Motherwell before launching an incredible fightback to claim a point.

They don't seem to have any problems scoring goals and can get the job done in West Lothian, where Livingston's new pitch is far better than their old version.

Spartans look a solid bet at McBookie.com's 21/20 to get the better of Annan Athletic in the capital.

The Ainslie Park side have started their league campaign well and have won their last two league games away at Clyde and at home to Forfar Athletic.

They also took a major scalp when they went to much-hyped East Kilbride on the opening day of the season and won 3-1 at K Park.

It looks like Spartans and EK could be major players in League Two and face an Annan side who have toiled defensively since their relegation.

They lost four goals at home to Dumbarton last week and have won just one game out of the ten they have played in all competitions this season.

And the hosts should chalk up another three points.

Raith Rovers could be worth a shout at a big price of 17/10 with McBookie.com to win at Partick Thistle.

The Jags have recovered from a horrendous 5-1 defeat at St Johnstone in their opening league game and their win at Ross County last week cost Don Cowie his job.

But Rovers could give them a real test at Firhill.

Barry Robson's side looked a class above Dunfermline last week in the Fife derby and could and should have won by more.

They also won at Ayr United the previous week and seem a very big price to make it three wins in a row in the Championship.
