Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

East Fife have won four games in a row in League Two and can make it five with a win at struggling Stranraer on Saturday.

The Methil side started the season sluggishly, but have caught fire in recent weeks culminating in a superb 5-1 hammering of pre-season title favourites Clyde at New Bayview.

Last week, they lost to Fife rivals Dunfermline, but that was against a Championship side and was in the Challenge Cup and so can be easily discounted.

Dick Campbell's men previously went to Stirling Albion and trounced them 4-0 at Forthbank so there's no concern about their form on the road,

Stranraer somehow escaped the dreaded drop into the Lowland League last season, but look set for for another battle against finishing bottom this season.

Manager Scott Agnew stepped down the other week and they've managed just one win all season and that was in the Challenge Cup.

And the 20/21 on an away win looks a really solid shout.

Kelty Hearts sit proudly on top of League One and they will fancy themselves to stay there by beating Cove Rangers at 11/10.

The Fife side have been going great guns this season and are unbeaten in the league.

They got punters to sit up and take notice of them when they beat Hibs at New Central Park in the Premier Sports Cup and have kicked on since then.

Eye-catching arrivals like former Celtic and Hibs midfielder Scott Allan have impressed and they have plenty of goals in them.

Cove have been a huge disappointment this season and have managed just one win in the league.

They were knocked out of the Challenge Cup last week by Lowland League side East Kilbride and have lost four out of their five games away from Aberdeen.

And Kelty should be confident of getting another three points on the board.

On a day where there are plenty of odds-on shots, Elgin City may be one of the more reliable ones to consider when they face Bonnyrigg Rose at Borough Briggs.

It's a case of a side who have a good home record, having put four past East Fife in the league, against a team who don't like travelling.

Bonnyrigg have played five games away this season, lost three and drew two of them including against Edinburgh City who look like they will struggle this season.

Take the 17/20 on a home win.
