Ligue 1 outright winner

Perennial French champions Paris Saint-Germain have opened up a six point lead at the top of Ligue 1, making them the overwhelming favourites to claim yet another title. Let's take a look at the latest outright winner odds.

Best Ligue 1 outright winner odds

PSG – 1/8

This one is a foregone conclusion according to the bookmakers. Luis Enrique’s side are six points clear at the summit following a 1-0 win over Lens on Saturday. While the confidence and swagger PSG were playing with during the opening weeks of the season appears to have deserted them of late, they are already in pole position to retain their crown. They have won eight of their opening 10 top-flight games of the season and are the only side in the division yet to taste defeat.

Monaco – 14/1

Despite collecting just one point from their last three Ligue 1 games, Monaco remain second favourites behind PSG at 14/1. The Red and Whites started the season strongly but their progress has stalled after losing to both Nice and Angers. Consequently, Adi Hutter’s side have dropped down to third place in the table. Even at this early stage of the season, the Principality club appear to be struggling with the demands of both domestic and continental football. On current form, Monaco don’t merit support in the without PSG betting at 13/8.

Best Monaco odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 13/8

Marseille – 22/1

Marseille have won two of their last three matches to move back up to second spot in Ligue 1. A 3-0 loss to arch-rivals PSG doesn’t appear to have dampened their spirits too much. Roberto de Zerbi’s side bounced back from that setback by battling to a 2-1 win at Nantes on Sunday night. It would take a herculean effort for Marseille to get their hands on a first French title for 15 years, however they look well placed to finish best of the rest at 5/2.

Best Marseille odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 5/2

Lille– 50/1

Lille are keeping pace with both Monaco and Marseille but reeling in PSG looks like a bridge too far. Bruno Genesio’s side have avoided defeat in each of their last six Ligue 1 games. However, they have drawn three of those six matches, two of which were on home turf. That being said the 2021 French kings do look overpriced at 8/1 in the without PSG betting market, especially given the goalscoring form of talisman Jonathan David.

Who will win Ligue 1? Here’s our prediction

Paris Saint-Germain already look set to be well on their way to another Ligue 1 title, but they are simply unbackable at the odds on offer.

Instead, look to Marseille to win Ligue 1 without PSG at 5/2. While Roberto de Zerbi’s side remain a work in progress, there have been plenty of positives to date, particularly away from home. If they can sort out their patchy home form then they should put themselves in a strong position for a podium finish.
