Kevin De Bruyne, stalwart of the Manchester City team since 2016, is yet to agree to a new contract with the Cityzens.
With his deal ending in 2025, and having managed only eight appearances in all competitions this term, speculation is now mounting as to whether the Belgian international will depart the club after 10 impressive seasons. One overseas option has already emerged as a nailed-on favourite.
That option is for De Bruyne to move to the MLS. De Bruyne allegedly held talks with new side San Diego FC in October, about the option of joining the club at the end of the current Premier League season. While it remains to be seen whether a move will materialise, moving to the United States definitely seems to be the bookies first choice for De Bruyne's next destination.

Below are the potential destinations currently being considered for De Bruyne. Options are sparse for the 33-year-old, as he is now entering the twilight of his career after a decade at the top of his game with Man City.

Current favourites
Any MLS team – 1/1
Due to the talks held between the Belgian and San Diego FC, bookies have the club as nailed-on favourites to secure the signature of the coveted created midfielder. With only four starts for Manchester City this season, it seems unlikely that De Bruyne will continue his tenure with the club, as holding midfielders Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic have been preferred to him in recent weeks.
It is also important to note De Bruyne's age. The 33-year-old playmaker may be looking for playing time before the end of his career, as this has been hard to come by in the last two seasons at Man City, and the club will be wanting to nurture their up-and-coming talent by awarding them minutes on the pitch.
At 1/1, a USA switch seems the right choice for De Bruyne, but possibly not for betting. If a move does not materialise, it would leave punters in the lurch.
Man City – 7/4
A better choice for people looking to bet on De Bruyne would be to back him to receive a new contract. Considering all of his service for the club, it is far from ludicrous to suggest that he may be given a one-year contract extension and allowed to continue his relationship with the 10-times champions.
De Bruyne has also shown that he has aged like a fine wine. In merely 26 appearances in all competitions last season, the Belgian managed six goals and 17 assists. The second figure is just typical of the man.
Still able to provide chances on a plate for strikers and dictate the tempo of games, this may be enough to see De Bruyne given a new contract at City, and would be a good value choice for takers.
Any Saudi Arabian team – 7/2
A move to any Saudi Arabian team cannot be discounted as an option for De Bruyne, even if it may be unlikely. It was reported in the summer that De Bruyne had agreed terms with Saudi club Al-Ittihad, but a move failed to materialise, with Pep Guardiola publicly stating that the midfielder would not move to the Saudi Pro League.
No interest in De Bruyne has arisen from another team in the division, but a move to Saudi Arabia is still firmly in with a shout, as bookies have a move placed at 7/2. This could be a solid outside pick for punters.
