Juventus v Roma
Serie A. Saturday December 22. Kick-off 7.30pm. Live on Eleven Sports 1.
WITH Eusebio di Francesco clinging to the Roma job by his fingernails a trip to face Juventus is the last thing he needs.
Roma's five-game winless run came to an end last weekend against Genoa but even that was a fraught affair as di Francesco's men twice came from behind before the break then hit a second-half winner.
They still find themselves outside the European places in seventh but at least showed fighting spirit which will be needed in abundance at the Allianz Stadium against a ruthless Juve side.
The seven-in-a-row champs have an eight-point cushion over second-placed Napoli and the only Serie A points they've shed in 16 games this season came in a 1-1 home draw with Genoa.
Since that shock setback they've simply turned on the afterburners and scorched their way to seven straight league wins while keeping a clean sheet in the last five.
Juve are just 2-5 at 888Sport to make it eight on the spin, with Roma big outsiders at 13-2 and a draw – which Roma managed at home to the Bianconeri in May – paying 7-2.
The last three meetings in Turin have ended 1-0 to Juve and Roma have lost their last eight visits while drawing a blank in six. So Juve to score first and win at 11-20 with 888Sport should land, same goes for a victory to nil at 6-5.
Cristiano Ronaldo's derby winner at Torino last week made it 12 goals in 21 Bianconeri appearances and he's netted in four of the last five Serie A matches.
Back the Portuguese hitman at 13-5 for first goal and consider Juve to triumph with under 3.5 goals at 23-20.
Roma welcome back Edin Dzeko from a month-long injury absence and the Bosnian striker looks their best hope of a goal at 7-2 with 888Sport.
