I'VE picked eight out of eight in the Confederations Cup so far and would love to make it a perfect 10 today.

It's not been too difficult picking winners so far although matches between the likes of Italy-Japan and Uruguay-Nigeria could have gone either way.

Today's big game sees Brazil entertain Italy and it's the hosts who need a point to top the section and avoid a likely semi-final against Spain. I reckon the Brazilians will take all three against an Italian outfit lucky to see off Japan in that 4-3 thriller.

Andrea Pirlo will miss out with a leg injury and Daniele de Rossi is banned so back Brazil, 4-6 at Betfred and others, who have been excellent in patches but poor in others.

Neymar's netted openers in the first two matches and is 5-1 at Ladbrokes and Coral to do so again.

With both sides already through it might not be a classic – although top spot is still up for grabs – and I was thinking Brazil 1-0 (6-1, BetVictor) or 2-0 (7-1, BetVictor).

The other match is a dead rubber between Japan and Mexico. It's not the easiest call but Japan have been the more impressive of the two and played really well against Italy.

I can see them edging this one and they are a best 13-8 with firms including Betfred and William Hill. Keisude Honda and Shinji Kagawa both netted against Italy and I'm looking at Honda to hit the opener at 9-1 at Betfred.

Both should score in this one and that pays 8-11 at bet365 and Coral.

Recommended Bets

Neymar to score first
(5-1, Ladbrokes, Coral)

Japan
(13-8, Betfred)

Japan to win and both to score
(5-1, William Hill)

Danny, your comments about the site aren’t welcome. If you don’t like it anymore then stay away. No one’s ever questioned your knowledge and I’ve praised your tips often in the past. Traffic during the week was as good as it was for some of the busiest weeks during the season including big Champions League nights. We’re not judged on number of comments. The site continues to thrive but it will always be as good as its tips are and last week there winning tips galore from myself, Bounty Punter, Greg, Sly and loads of others.

@Danny,,seriously mate,,blow your own trumpet why dont you,,laughable to say the least.
I like many others on the site have not been on recently for the following reasons: I dont bet on ‘random’ global matches purely for the sake of it, I prefer to bet on British matches and as it is the close season there has been nothing of interest, I dont feel the need, like many others, to gamble every day of the year as I have a full life and a wee football bet is purely a non-consuming hobbie I like many others await for the ‘British’ season to begin in August. As Paul already knows the numbers will come flooding back during the eagerly awaited season and the site will keep on progressing.
You say that you “know your football inside out” and “your knowledge of the sport can NEVER be brought into question”,,,,Has your thoughts on the sport been published ?? That is a huge statement you are making. So in essence you are liking yourself to sport/football legends such as Mr Hugh McILvanney, Mr Jock Stein, Mr Michel Platini and even our local top sports/football journalist Mr Hugh Keevins,,,the list goes on and your name aint on it Danny. I dont think the site would be any poorer without your input and the last time I looked this site is named mrfixittips,,,you are merely a tipster with a god complex and I reckon with that ludicrous statement you have made you have most probably lost any respect that you had on here…
Really looking forward to the new format and the new British/European season Paul so that I and many others can offer their positive input without thinking I am the Aristotle of football….

Joey I skimmed your comment mate and there is a difference how can someone who thinks/knows he is pretty good at finding winners on football betting just like many others on the site are be trying to compare himself to all time great managers don’t get that’s as for respect from people on the site who ye kidding mate do you really think I give a toss about strangers behind a computer screen who have nothing better to do than spend there days jabbering pish about football it gets monotonous I KNOW I HAVE DONE IT FOR THE PAST 2 SEAOSNS

    Hi, Fixit.

Today has been bit odd in soccer. Nothing has gone inline with our expectations. Anyway I was playing very carefully today even though I had very few losses today. My loss was totally based on japans performance today and it totally shocked me. Honda disappointed me.Some U20 teams also showed up strange today. So we can be very careful next time on these teams.

Hope you all played well and keep an eye on tomorrows matches for chances.

I’m sure Mr fixit can come up with good expectations for tomorrow.

    Thanks again guys ;)

Dee, yeah it wasn’t the best of days. I’m hoping Spain and Uruguay can provide some profit.
