THE last three games between these sides have finished 3-2 to Hibs and it’s 28-1 with William Hill for a repeat result.
Hibs scored three at Ibrox earlier in the season and have achieved stats against Celtic no other domestic team have.
Celtic have conceded just 12 goals domestically this season, 10 in the league and two in the Betfred Cup.
Hibs have scored six of those, four in two league games and two in the Betfred semi-final. They are the only team to score two against Celtic this season and have managed that feat in all three games.
I said pre-season the only reason Celtic had gone so long unbeaten was because they hadn't played Hibs. People laughed at that statement but although we haven’t beaten them yet we have been Celtic's toughest opposition.
The sooner boss Neil Lennon realises Anthony Stokes can’t play up front as a lone striker the better. Lennon won’t do it but I would love to see a really attacking side on Wednesday.
We should leave John McGinn out and see what we are like without him just in case we get a £7m offer in January although I wouldn’t sell him for less than £10m.
Whatever team or formation we play we should be winning and we should be favourites but we aren’t because Rangers are the opposition.
Some will say Hibs are a bit hit and miss, that they drop points they shouldn’t, but we have in fact played well in every game this season except one – Hamilton at Easter Road when we simply didn’t turn up.
All in all though I don’t think we have done too bad, sitting three points off second place in our first season back and playing probably the best football I have seen as a Hibs supporter. We have the joint second best defence and we are the third top scorers.
I didn’t get to see much of the Rangers game at the weekend but although they won they didn’t impress and from looking at this season they can’t handle players running at them and struggle with balls coming in from wide.

JohnB, I’ve been a fan of Hibs, I think they have been a bit wasteful this season and really should have more points than that have but that said they have had a really good season so far

I like John McGinn but there is is absolutely no chance, zero possibility of anyone coughing up £4million for him never mind £7m or £10

The only way his price will go up if he joins Celtic and then maybe just maybe he’d be bought by an English club for £5m+

Whilst he is at Hibs his value will be £2-3million tops as that sadly how Scottish football works

With only 18 months of his deal left i doubt hibs would get even £3M for Mcginn.
Hibs have been poor at easter road lately with 2 wins in their last 6 at home. They were lucky to win at ibrox as Rangers had jack wrongly sent off and stokes very lucky not to be off.

Hibs have played Celtic 3 times and still haven’t beaten them? So….

Hibs will be doing well to get £3m for McGinn with only 18months left on his deal.

    Anyway I’m on Hibs &btts @4/1
