There are quite a few bets I like for this evenings semi finals matches. My NAP for this evening will be in the MVG-Barney showdown and based on some of the monster finishing we have seen from both so far it is a no brainer. The both to checkout 120+ selection is a strong one considering the participants involved and usually we do see this target being achieved in longer format clashes between quality operators. Barney has taken out numerous checkouts of 120+ in this years championship; the best being a 156 against Green, and a 154 & 167 in his victory which sent Taylor packing. MVG hit TWO 170 finishes against Gurney in the same match, he hit a 170 finish against Webster, a 164 against Reyes… I really could keep going but the the main point here is the confidence level for the bet is high.
As mentioned above MVG does seem to find hitting a 170 finish quite easy and he often leaves the big fish as a leave from a high number. Three of the four 170 finishes we have seen in this year’s championship have come from him so the 9/2 price definitely appeals.
Last year Barney lost 6-3 to Adrien Lewis at this stage last year in a performance where he averaged 94 with a 38% checkout rate on the doubles. I don’t think he is going to win tonight’s match and over the full length of the match his stats should resemble something similar. Barney has never really been that prolific on the 180’s but usually acquires a high volume of 140’s which make up the bulk of his scoring and average. I’d expect MVG to finish with at least five or more 180’s given the length of the semi final (it finished 15-6 in Lewis’ favour last year) so I’m taking his 180 handicap in the match as well.
Wright-Anderson is very likely to see at least 9 sets. Both players have dropped three sets on the way to the semi final with Anderson three against Chisnall and Wright three against Wade. The consistent nature of each player’s game means mistakes are generally few and far between so each should have the ability to register sets, especially with throw.
As usual I’ll be on the 9-darter in Anderson’s match due to the many close attempts and the one he hit last year.

It all depends on how good each player really is today . It’s a good price but a bit on the risky side. My next most confident bet would have to be MVG
-4.0 180’s 11/10 on PP due to how Barney performed in last years semi only hitting six 180’s. MVG should hit ten upwards so should cover the handicap.

The late game will see the winner being crowned NFC North champions and the Packers on the back of a good run of form come into this as odds on favourites. If you fancy a close game then the Lions with 3.5 start is worth a look.
This as the potential to be a shootout or even a potential blowout. The Lions will need to step up more than they have done in the past few weeks. On Thanksgiving they did that beating the Vikings and going top of the North. Green Bay are riding high, Clay Matthews is playing lights out, and A-Rod as had is favourite target back the past few weeks in Jordy Nelson and it as opened up the pass attack with Adams in particular taking advantage.
Green Bay won this match last season on a Rodgers “Hail Mary” or the miracle pass and with the division on the line you put it on Rodgers (O282.5yds Skybet) back or his hands in this case.
