HullShaker’s Tips – Who wants to live Thor-ever

POSTED prices early morning for this one and, as predicted, the odds are tightening for home team goals – hopefully anyone interested was able to take advantage of the bigger prices as I knew I wouldn't get this write-up done until now…

THÓR VS. HAUKAR (7.00pm)

All about the hosts here and it's a fitting name for the Nordic side as they emulate the old Norse god and look to strike down Haukar with a lightening bolt of brilliance!

Thor will draw level with Fjolnir at the top of the 1 Deild table with a win and, although they will need an unlikely 7 or more goals to take pole position on g/d, they ought to have enough power to put a few goals past tonight's visitors to Akueyri and continue their run of 13 games with just 1 defeat

Haukar are hovering dangerously above the drop zone and head into this one on the back of 2 defeats. Both of those losses were to mid-table sides Vikingur and Throttur with the latter being a 4-2 defeat which is of significant interest as Throttur are the very same side who were defeated 1-3 away from home by Thor exactly 7days ago!

H2Hwise, these two have met on 14 occasions with Thor coming out victorious in 8 of those encounters and having hit 3-4-2-0-2-4-0-2-2-2-2-0-2-2 team goals in the process.

The fact that those two most recent victories were so resounding, combined with recent form and results against similar opposition, lead me to suspect Haukar may be in for a long night as Thor begin their push back towards the Valhalla that is The Icelandic Urvalsdeild.
