Looking at the results, we have had a poor start to the week, Lady Celia drifted to a nice price but that was about all, I can't continuously mention what could have beens but we are having some tortuous luck. I continue to have technological issues which may well affect my studying process until Friday.
Attacanter Racing Tips
Royal Max 8/1 EW – 16.03 Worcester
Royal Max had pulled up on his only Chase experience prior to his 3rd last time at Market Rasen. He was over 7 lengths behind but has been hit with a 5lb rise which is borderling obnoxious.
The horse will get a decent amount of weight off three of those ahead in the market and still has scope to improve now rated 76. In May '23 he contested a Hurdles race when with Nicky Henderson finishing a distant 3rd off 97.
Robbie Dunne has a hit and miss record for the trainer but of those not absurdly priced, I thought it read quite nicely.
Nancy P 5/1 EW – 17.20 Lingfield
S P C Woods is a name that would have popped on most radars a good few seasons ago now, his runners definitely require respecting, especially on the AW.
He and Tom Marquand have shared a couple of winners here recently and it is pleasing to see them teaming up together on Nancy P as this lightly raced filly returns to the scene of her last success. She sits 4lbs above that but can get put the two previous disappointing efforts behind her when not appreciating the step up in trip.
The trainer sends a few here and on paper looks more than capable of having a good day, his last winner was just 3 days ago.
Scintillante 5/1 EW – 19.10 Worcester
Alistair Ralph was overlooked recently and an 8lb apprentice caught my eye in the curtain closer at Worcester.
The horse returns here after just a 9 day break, fininshing a head 2nd in a Maiden to a J J Hanlon horse with his 7lb apprentice son on board. The pair pulled well clear, the Irish raider having been 2nd of 15 the time before.
Now entered into a handicap, the fact he's 8lbs lower than that surely entitles him to have a sniff in this wide open looking contest. The apprentice has won for the claimer recently which is reassuring, at a slightly bigger price it is Electric Eddy who should be monitored in the market, the yard is purring and he is another who has finished 2nd over C&D now getting a claimer aide.
Distinction 20/1 EW- 17.03 Carlisle
It is quite clear the best option would be to risk one of those near the top of the market who have been in good form of late. I do have concerns over my selection but given the price we will go with it hoping the trainer has his stable star fully firing.
The horse has enjoyed a good summer, picking up wins at Beverley and Pontefract. Off joint top weight, Carlisle will be even tougher in an extremely stacked race. We will be relying on the horse giving his best effort and that still might not be anywhere near good enough.
He is dropped in trip and returns here just 13 days later, he's been the stable star this year so I suspect he will at least be giving it his all. He is only 2lbs above his last win and his liking for stiff tracks on soft entitles him to be in the mix.
Chatty hasn't done enough to risk suggesting but is my horse to note.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
