Tuesday’s Lucky 15 Tips – Tuesday’s selections from Wolverhampton and Lingfield

Cairnzy and Rizzel concentrate on the meetings at Lingfield and Wolverhampton for Tuesday's Lucky 15 bet.

Cairnzy's Tips

Golden Gal 5/1 – Wolverhampton 5.40

Golden Gal's opening price of 7/1 is gone but she's still a fair price at 5/1 in what looks a pretty poor affair. My selection was out of sorts towards the end of last season and returned this season in pretty poor form but her recent third at Ripon last month over 5f was a step in the right direction. She's falling down the weights on the back of her poor form but she looks potentially dangerous at a low mark of 48.

Felicity 10/11 – Lingfield 2.00

In a tough day of racing, not many horses stand out as a banker but if there's a horse that resembles anything of the sort it has to be Felicity for the powerful Wathnan racing team. She was an expensive purchase at 350,000 guineas and connections will be hoping she can get off the mark at the fourth attempt in this pretty ordinary affair. She's shown signs of ability in her three races, finishing fourth on debut before going on to finish third in her previous two outings at Brighton and Bath. She is drawn nicely in stall three and I can see James Doyle just popping out and keeping things simple on her in this race.

Rizzel's Tips

Aidan Andabettin 3/1 – Wolverhampton 7.10

There is a lot of pace in this race, with nearly every runner in the lineup making the running in their previous races. I think that could set it up for a horse who doesn't get involved in the burn-up and is played late and I think Billy Loughnane will sit cold on Aidan Andabettin who is coming back to 5f for the first time in his six-race career.

Based on how Richard Spencer's horse has been running over 6f, I think this avenue is definitely worth trying. He has run well over 6f, but his final kick over that distance isn't the strongest and he tends to see horses go past him, so with a furlong less to tackle, and a likely strong pace, this could be the perfect setup he has needed.

Foinix 7/1 – Lingfield 3.30

Foinix caught the eye in this Class 6 Classified stakes over 12f. He is evidently better on the all-weather than he is on the turf, so I am more than happy to ignore his most recent run at Bath when he was gambled into favourite but didn't run particularly well. That run was also over 10f on firm ground, which might not be his ideal race conditions, but based on how well he ran at Brighton over 12f the time before in a handicap race, I think that's the best form on offer in this race. The winner that day has previously won three of his last four runs and finished ahead of some in this race, but Foinix only was beaten by a neck.

Foinix has either won or hit the frame on 11 occasions from his 19 runs on the artificial surfaces, so with him being in such good form on turf, he looks ready to strike in the lowest-graded race there is in racing now back on a surface he prefers.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
