We managed to land 2 winning selections from four on yesterday's Lucky 15 tips. Rizzel's long shot finished second which was unfortunate as it would have returned a nice profit had he won.

We've selected another 2 horses each that you can find below.

Cairnzy's tips

Ellerton 9/4 – Stratford 6.10

Ellerton looks the solid play in this contest under jockey Harry Cobden. He seemingly thrived under the application of a visor when finishing second in his most recent outing at Newtown Abbot over 2m1f. He was only beaten by a length and a half to King's Castle on that occasion, which looks strong, given that King's Castle had won two on the bounce before that race.

Fictional 6/4 – Lingfield 6.30

It's taken a while but things have finally clicked with Fictional. He ran out a comfortable winner over 1m3f at Kempton in his last outing, winning by just over 2 lengths. He hit the line hard that day, suggesting a step up in trip is well within reach. This step up in trip to two miles of course comes with its risks, as we don't know if he will stay but i'm confident he will on the evidence of his Kempton success. Oisin Murphy has also been booked for the ride which is another positive.

Rizzel's tips

Wickywickywheels 11/4 –  Hamilton 4.15

The phrase horses for courses is said a lot, but it's very accurate about Wickywickywheels as she is a five-time course winner at Hamilton and that has come at a 50% SR from her ten runs. This mare has been tossed around a few different yards in the last couple of years and finds herself dropping down the ratings. She has dropped down to a decent handicap mark and gets a useful 7lb claimer on board at her favourite track. There's plenty to like about her chances today, and if she was to get herself back in the winner's enclosure, today looks like the time.

Warriors Dream 11/8 – Lingfield 8.30

A five-runner race, but only a couple should be in with a chance, three at a push. Yellow Pages is the main threat to Warriors Dream, but I feel like the form lines of Warriors Dream's recent race are stronger than Yellow Pages. Warriors Dream didn't get a clear run in his last race, which bodes well for today given he was fifth and the form has worked out nicely. The winner and seventh-placed horse have won since and there have been placed efforts from the second and third.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
