The racing threads on Saturday were a bit all over the show due to Rizz and Attacanter thinking they were both covering the Lucky 15 thread.
Due to this error, we had to use one of the L15 articles as the main thread, as we didn't have time to do a separate main thread within such a short period of time.
Sunday's racing at first glance looks horrendous in terms of quality and it's probably best to keep your money in your pocket and fight another day. With that said, I have to put something up that has a fighting chance and I did find one horse who I'm willing to have a small wager on at the meeting at Naas.
Cairnzy's Tips
Theonewedreamof 11/4 – Naas 4.50
The horse that caught my interest at Naas was the Gavin Cromwell-trained Theonewedreamof, who arrives here 2lb off the handicap but coming off a good win at Punchestown the previous time out.
There was a lot to like about her performance at Punchestown, especially how she handled the heavy ground conditions, which are exactly the same as what she will run on at Naas tomorrow. Theonewedreamof won with a bit in hand that day and despite facing a challenge from two decent types in Sainte Dona and Music Of Tara she was well on top at the line.
My selection has been a consistent performer for Gavin Cromwell, winning on the flat, hurdles, and twice over fences. For the most part, Theonewedreamof has been a consistent performer for Gavin Cromwell and looks to have further progression in the tank. Jockey Conor Stone-Walsh who takes the ride is still learning his trade, but is worthy of his 5lb claim and holds a good chance aboard Theonewedreamof in getting another win on his CV.
Gordon Elliots Shannon Royale is an interesting contender and on paper looks the main danger to my selection. Shannon Royale found life hard in the Thyestes but had some nice form before that including a second behind Dancing City. She is a danger in this sort of company but giving nearly two stone away to my selection will prove a tough ask and she has to bounce back from being pulled up last time out.
3-00 hereford
Nemean lion 2-1

Nemean Lion just about gets there.

3-42 bay dargent 13-8 top 3 finish
I’d say it’s unlikely Naas will go ahead. Raining cats and dogs here.
And if it does it will be a bog so avoid like the plague.
I’m with you Elvis on Namean Lion 🤞
BOL
Watch you don’t step in a poodle! 😋
Have heard nothing back from admin in regards to a Cheltenham thread yet and still no input from the headliners is disappointing so I’ll carry on putting my thoughts up here.
Following on from the Mares chase yesterday if you look at the current odds we have
Dinoblue 7/4……..didn’t stay last year and too short in the market based on that
Bioluminescence 6/1……Ground dependant needs soft/heavy and wasn’t great yesterday
Allegorie De Vassy 6/1 ……has had 2 tries already and failed. No reason to think she wins this time
Spindleberry 13/2…..Willie has already said she’s not running at the festival
Limerick Lace 6/1…….last year’s winner but form is well below that level this season
Only By Night 8/1……My original selection (have her at 10/1) but looks like now to run in the Arkle. GRRRRR !!
Then we come to Telepathique 14/1 and Brides Hill 20/1 who met at Huntingdon on the 6th Feb.
That day Brides Hill gave Telepathique 6lbs and made a complete mess of the last jumping that high over it she landed with snow on her head, so lost all momentum.
I’m confident she can turn the tables off level weights come march.
I do think Telepathique will be thereabouts and will be better suited to a left-handed track as she jumps out to the left.
Mares Chase
BRIDES HILL 20/1 EW
Tripoli Flyer after yesterday’s win finds himself as the shortest priced British horse for the Supreme at 16/1 (where are all the British novices).
There’s no doubt he’s a talent with a big engine reminds me a bit like Labaik but he’s very much a work in progress and jumps that far out to the right hell probably end up in the Guinness Village.
He will be flying up that hill though passing other tired horses and could hit the frame.
Fearghal & Bronagh Eastwood, owners of Spindleberry, donated their prize money from today to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund .
Michael O’Sullivan rode Spindleberry last season when she finished second in the Grade 1 Honeysuckle Mares Novice Hurdle.
Very nice thought
Not sure if you’re aware of the situation Willie’s new french recruit KOPECK DE MEE who has entries in the Coral, County and MP.
If the BHA calculate his mark based on his french mark he will end up on a mark of 136.
If he does end up on that rating he will be absolutely thrown in as the horse he beat in his last run went out and beat Kitzbhul now rated 153.
But it wouldn’t be the first time it didn’t work out, Gaelic Warrior says hi, so putting him to one side will KARGESE be the best handicapped horse at the festival off 141 ?
Beaten 3 3/4L by Sir Gino (rated 164 chase and 157 hurdle) and beaten 1 1/2L by Majborough (rated 162 chase and 150 hurdle).
I reckon she has about 10lbs in hand and will be targeted for the county hurdle with the same owners having the very impressive Sire De Grungy for the Mares, and Willie has won 5 of the last 9 runnings.
Currently 10/1 so has been well found in the market and is probably worth waiting for the day now.
4:30 fontwell – daring plan 9/2
That is a very touching gesture.
Great input again regards your festival picks
I’m going on my annual visit 2 weeks on Tuesday, 10 years in a row now I’ve been in champions day.
Can’t wait, we paid extra for a car park with concrete, last 2 years we been pulled. Out of a field by a tractor, not clever considering the price punters pay.
Naas still on apparently, falcon eight now 16-1 from 33s 🤞
I’m envious Elvis
Would love to see Con Hill in the flesh.
Looking like Brighterdaysahead also ling up there rather than the Mares.
Could be the race of the meeting and the type of race the public deserves to see.
Like the good old days of Night Nurse V Monks field V Sea Pigeon
Surprised Naas is still going ahead, it’s still pissing down here. Ya wouldn’t put a milk bottle out in it never mind a dog !!
Appreciate your write ups again DC! thanks
I remember the night nurse/sea pigeon days DC.
I was a 14 year old sprog back then and my grandfather lured me into the world of betting by letting me have a few pence on red rum in the 1978 grand national.
Unfortunately rummy was pulled out on the Friday night and my betting career has been on a downward spiral ever since 🤣🤣
There was a horse cut of the same cloth as constitution hill back then called golden cygnet.
Best horse I’ve seen to this day.
This horse would have been an all time great without a doubt.
Trained by Edward O’Grady in Ireland.
To this day I believe he is the highest rated novice hurdler in timeform history with a 176 rating.
Won the 1978 supreme doing handstands but only raced 7 times before being tragically fatally injured while in the process of slaying sea pigeon and night nurse in the Scottish champion hurdle
Great era for jumps back then.
My favourite horse in those days was the pilgarlic, a Bang average chaser but brave as a lion who took on the grand national fences with relish and was plodding on as others were waving the white flag
Placed 4543 between 1977 and 1980, never forget that horse….
He wouldn’t get a sniff of entering now given the rules which is a shame as you’ll never see hunters like grittar winning again
An unsung hero while all the attention was on red rum and co in those days
Great times for sure Elvis. Can’t say I remember Golden Cygnet running but The Pilgarlic will always form part of Peter O’ Sullivan’s commentary when Red Rum won his 3rd National which was also my first ever bet on a horse (50p ew) at 8/1. I thought I’d won the lotto !!
The 3.50 at Naas is the final Pertemps qualifier for the festival.
Fav Will The Wise will probably need to win the race if he’s to make it to the final itself so he gets a high enough mark.
He also has entries in the AB and MP but it’s believed this is his preferred destination.
Not much of a price but when the Cromwell money is down it usually means business
well done dc cheers
I’ve decided to have a small ew in that race on the Phillip Rothwell runner
Catos Revenge 28/1 ew 5 places who is towards the bottom of the weights which will help in the conditions and has been running in graded races recently so has his sights lowered
The money down on Will The Wise told in the end but I’ll take my place on Catos Revenge at 28/1 👍
jo lescribaa 4.40 well done all winners today and yesterday
Non runners are winnners ! Headliners will be happy !
deuvilla lady 5.10 ew
DC, myself and Rizz are still awaiting feedback from the owners on how they wish to format the Cheltenham festival.
We will have articles going live the night before covering each of the main races individually as well as our main thread. In regards to a separate Cheltenham thread… im not totally sure.
Thanks for letting me know
We’ll see what happens

Sam Houston is Race 8 NOT Race 5 👌
It’s a big night Stateside with Oaklawn delayed meeting amongst others so good few extra ⬆️ shouts than normal and not bothered really Friday or Saturday
Small stakes on multiples obviously for hopefully maximum returns or some and all Bet365 as they do best odds 👍
