Daily racing tips 4

It was a small amount of profit from Saturday's runners, which is better than a kick in the teeth.

Moyganny Phil managed to get the job done up at Carlisle, staying on in good fashion. The step up in trip evidently worked a treat, as he was not stopping at the line, and was probably pulling away from the runner-up.

Victoria Milano was backed in with a good amount of money. There was a 10p rule 4, but he the money was on him, as he backed into around 7/2. His jumping was horrendous. It was like he had never seen a fence before. If the money didn't arrive for him, I'd have taken it on the chin, but there was clearly confidence in the camp that he was going to run well and was far too big of a price at 20/1.

Break My Soul 9/2 (1pt) – Fairyhouse 4.25

Sorry, this is put up later than usual. I was expecting Cairnzy to post Sunday's tips, but it seems that he has forgotten.

At the prices, I think this is a no-brainer, but to back Break My Soul. For the life of me, I can't understand how anyone could go near Relieved Of Duties. That horse ran well at Cheltenham earlier in the season, but it looks like that form isn't worth the paper it's written on. Also, he has finished many lengths behind Break My Soul on two occasions, so I can't see him reversing the form despite him being lighter in the weights.

Break My Soul could be in the grips of the handicapper at a rating of 137 and carrying top weight, but she's evidently in tremendous form. She was third in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham in March. I gave her no chance in that race, and she ended up running a big race. She is 4lbs heavier than she was at Cheltenham, as she is 1lb higher in the handicap, and Connor Stone-Walsh isn't in the saddle, and she removed 3lbs last time out.

She is still a young horse in terms of jumps racing, and there is no reason why she can't continue her progression. The ground should remain yielding to soft, so not extremely testing, which should be fine for her. It doesn't look like it's a strong race, and definitely not a stronger race than last time, so I think she can carry the heavy weight to victory.

Keith Donoghue is back in the saddle, which is a positive. He has partnered up with a win earlier in the season at Gowran, so he clearly gets on well with her.
