daily racing tips 1

As already stated on the main thread, we don't have a lot of racing on offer on Sunday, but I have opted to have two selections on the flat and two from the jumps meeting at Market Rasen to mix things up for this Sunday's Lucky 15 bet.

I have kept an eye on this thread since stepping down from my full-time role, and although it's a fun type of bet to have, it's also hard to profit from. Rizz has had some joy with it, which is good to see, and hopefully, we can follow suit this time around.

Cairnzy's Racing Tips

Theoryofeverything 10/3 – Ayr 3.30

I was drawn to two horses in the race, one of which was Mr Professor and the other was Theoryofeverything. After some headscratching, I opted for the David O'Meara-trained horse Theoryofeverything, who looks to hold solid claims after a nice return to action 6 weeks ago.

All of Theoryofeverything's wins have come on soft ground, which is conditions my selection should get given the recent rainfall at Ayr over the last few days. This contest doesn't look as competitive as the one he ran in on his seasonal reappearance in May, and he should come on for the recent run.

Sneddy Eddie 2/1 – Ayr 5.15

When the Irish send their runners across the water, they have to be respected. Sneddy Eddie makes the journey to Ayr for trainer Noel Kelly and arrives here on the back of a win at Gowran Park two weeks ago.

The victory last time out was very workmanlike, but he showed a good attitude that day and got the job done when winning by a neck. Notably, that victory came on soft ground at Gowran Park, which is similar conditions to those he will get this time around as well. My selection is up to a mark of 55 on the back of that recent win, but he has won with a mark of 60 in the past, so is arguably still reasonably treated on his past efforts.

Usyk 9/4 – Market Rasen 5.30

As previously mentioned, the odds haven't been published yet for the races I'm studying, but I know this selection was well backed on debut last time out, so I expect it to be on the short side again for this particular contest.

Usyk was well backed before the off on debut last month ( backed into 11/8 favourite ), but was beaten 6L in the end and finished fourth in what was a slowly run affair. With that said, there were plenty of positives to take from that debut performance, and I'm confident enough to think that Usyk will progress from the recent experience.

Nickelforce 7/2 – Market Rasen 4.20

Claims can be made for plenty within this field, and there are a few familiar faces on show who have made an appearance on the thread before.

I was initially tempted with Pull Again Green who is a quirky sort but has plenty of ability on a going day. With that said, he has to carry top weight against this field, which I think is a tough ask.

I opted for the younger legs of Nickelforce, who is in receipt of plenty of weight from his rivals. He's maybe not on the greatest of marks at present but arrives here on the back of two decent efforts at Stratford in May and probably wouldn't need to improve much to be within a shout of getting his head infront.
