Cairnzy has been in cracking form this month and he managed to tip up another winner in the shape of First Confession, who was tipped up at 2/1 and was backed into a shade of odds-on.

Josh The Boss 5/1 – Haydock 1.15
On paper, I think this race looks a lot stronger than what it is, but I was very impressed by Josh The Boss last time out at Chepstow on his first start this season under Jamie Nield.
There is a fair few decent horses towards the top of the weights, and I think that is where the strongest opposition to Josh The Boss is, with nothing towards the bottom of the weights concerning me. However, With Jamie Nield still being able to claim 7lbs, I am more than happy to play on Josh The Boss who seems to be in great form and is still young enough to progress further.
Last time out on his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow he won a very nice handicap. The form of that race has been boosted in good style by the runner-up winning on his next start for the Skelton team, so despite Josh The Boss getting a decent rise in the weights by the handicapper, he looks like he should be able to handle it. He probably wasn't 100% match fit at Chepstow as he did look tired towards the end, so if he has come on for that run, he will surely give us a very good run for our money in this better race.
Slipway 8/1 EW – Ascot 2.05
My eye was instantly drawn to Slipway for this Berkshire National Handicap Chase.
I watched this horse run in the X-Country at Cheltenham last weekend and thought he ran a cracker, but simply needed the run, so seeing him arriving at Ascot with a recent run out after shaping well for a long time, I thought he had a cracking chance.
Slipway is a 9-year-old, and he is getting on in age, but he hasn't got many miles on the clock for how old he is. He has only raced thirteen times over fences, which has resulted in four wins. He has been raced sparingly over the last few seasons, with a couple of runs per year, but when he does run, he often shows his ability. He managed to win a National race at Fontwell in 2022 and then he managed to win at Kempton earlier this year. He is running off a higher mark than the ones he got his wins off, so he will have to show he is capable of that, but I thought it was a nice return to the track after having the summer off and I think the majority of Ben Pauling's horses have needed the run, so I'm expecting a big run today.
I think Gordon Elliott has a good chance of winning the 1-00 punchestown
good one Elvis😂😂😂
