On the bare facts of the race at Plumpton, we were unlucky not to walk away with the win. Gerico Ville would've won if the loose horse didn't get in our way in the final furlong, but with that said, if the jockey managed to stay on the horse when jumping the last, they would've won with ease, so not much can really be said about it as we weren't going to come away with the win if every horse/jockey was still in the race.
Catterick 2:50 – Prairie Wolf 6/4 (2pt, Bet365)
Tuesday's racing is pretty abysmal, and only Prairie Wolf looks like a bet as he is currently above EVS and based on his recent form, that looks more than a fair representation of his chances of winning this race.
This race is a Class 3 (0-135), but only in name as Prairie Wolf is the top weight, running off a mark of 123 so it's effectively a 0-123 and based on that, this race looks to be for the taking. Sue Smith's 7yo novice chaser has been making progressive moves in recent months and his run last time out at Cheltenham showed the level he is capable of running at off his current mark. The handicapper didn't alter his rating on his fourth in the Class 2 race which was won by Ginny's Destiny, and that seems a tad strange as I thought he was turning for home with a real chance of winning, but he didn't quite see the trip out up the stiff Cheltenham hill which so often catches horse's stamina out. The form of that race looks rock-solid in comparison to the other horses in today's race. Blow Your Wad was 6th at Cheltenham but won the Grade 2 at Kempton on the weekend just gone, recording an RPR of 151, and Bowtogreatness (5th) finished 3rd in the highly competitive Coral Trophy on the same Kempton card as Blow Your Wad. The winner of the race at Cheltenham, Ginny's Destiny, looks to be a dark horse in the Turner's Chase at Cheltenham in March, and it wouldn't be a shock to see the horses placed in 2nd or 3rd popping up in a big pot handicap sometime soon.
Prior to his Cheltenham fourth, he managed to win at Doncaster when carrying top weight. He cruised into contention that day, jumped like a gazelle all the way around and when Callum Bewley asked him to go on and win his race he did so. He hit the front quite a far way from home but was professional and didn't idle, and the winning margin to the 2nd and 3rd was only as close as it was because he was eased down quite heavily. There looks to be more improvement to come from this lightly raced chaser and if he wasn't winning a race of this nature it would be surprising.

Can remember Binnocular being ruled out of the CH some years ago only to turn up and win it, beating my pick in the process (Kyber Kim).
