NEVER SAID NOTHING (6.00) found one too good for the third time over course and distance five days ago and deserves a change of fortune at Wolverhampton.
Mark Lougnane's gelding was always in the firing line under Elisha Whittington but couldn't contain the late thrust of Nine Elms. Luke Morris takes over the reins this evening.

Morris rides another potential winner, NORTONTHORPE BOY (7.30), in the 7f handicap. The gelding has been in terrific form and returns from a 33-day break since scoring in some style at Kempton.

Elvis Thats the trouble with those sort of bets one horse but 6 bets with the each ways , All lost .The bookies give you these odds for a reason knowing its in their favour. Straight wins or straight each ways all the way for me.

it’s utter stupidity NOT to use the EW extra feature, no one here can knock elvis really, but if you wanted to say smth, perhaps it’d be he went overly strong on a horse who had only ever had one run, coming 6th. but then again, all stakes should be a size where it doesnt matter if you lose them and he’s so consistent that if one day he wants to take a punt, he should be able too.. that’s why you have to just back each person indivudally, then you track the results and see where and who are losing you money, perhaps it’s only in certain races etc.. so if you have stats which state someone is losing you money on the AW ignore them perhaps.

Just pointing logically the bet is not great
1 horse but 3 each way bets so 6 bets
example ok so you put £5 e/w on each bet so £30 staked (dosent matter if its 50p e/w on each result will be the same)
so £30 staked if it came 5th 14/1 each way is 7/2 so £22.50 back = £7.50 loss
4th will give 4/1 £25 back £5 loss
small profit if you bet 4th and 5th is it worth the 6 bets.

busstop/sore point, im not claiming you’re slating him, i’m saying given his consistent contribution he has carte blanche over what he posts, and IMO your wisdom is not really accurate, you claim only straight up ew is the way to go, and my response was, NOT taking ew extra places is ridiculous, and i wont explain myself there because it’s so obvious.
as i said, it is not for elvis to account for other people, they should bet responsible enough as to anything lost doesn’t affect them, therefore if elvis likes the horse and tips it up like that, if it loses, it should not be affecting anyone, and if it is it’s their fault. to stake that on a horse on it’s 2nd run is the issue for me, given the amount of racing, but based on what i said, that isn’t an issue either because stakes should be manageable.
i dont know what maths you are using but here are the actual figures if the horse places only.
£5ew 33/1 3rd returns £28 profit. (NET PROFIT £52)
£5ew 20/1 4th returns £15 profit (NET PROFIT £14)
£5ew 14/1 5th returns £9 profit (NET LOSS £11)
therefore you have 6 bets, 3 which return big wins. and 2 which return an overally profit and 1 which returns a small loss but means you only lose £11 of the initial £30 invested, so no big deal given the potential winnings.
2/3 in my Trixie as per it was between 2 in the 3.55 and I picked wrong but single in the last too makes it a right good day.
