Yesterday we had another NR, which left me with one runner on the day. He ran well for the most part of the race, but was probably a little too keen and that took its toll in the final furlong where he couldn't go with the winner. It's been a frustrating few days, especially with the non-runners, as I was expecting a big run by Follow Your Heart.

Newcastle 2:00

A competitive days racing at Newcastle as they host their very first All-Weather Championships day, where it used to be located at Lingfield. I prefer Newcastle as a track than Lingfield, as it is more of a fair track, where Lingfield normally results in a positively ridden runner will benefit, and it's difficult to make up the ground from the back.

In this race I'm siding with the best horse in the race on official ratings, and that is MY OBERON. I've been a big fan of this horse for a few years now, and there's no doubting his ability, but he doesn't quite manage to land a blow when he goes up to Group 1 races. He is definitely a Group 2 horse, shown by the fact he has won a Group 3, and then nearly won a Group 1 in France, losing to Skalleti. Since that neck defeat he has been running in some good races, but he hasn't really shown his true potential, but this race today is a drop back in grade than what he has competed in recent years, other than his seasonal opener at Southwell where he won a Class 2 Conditions race. That race was clearly a run for fitness ahead of his run at Meydan in the Dubai Turf, which was eventually won by Lord North & the Japanese horse, Panthalassa. My Oberon ran a respectable race back in 6th, where he was never really involved, which can so often be the case at Meydan.

This race probably hasn't been the plan, but William Haggas isn't the type of trainer to run his horses unless they are 100% ready. He has been known to pull horses out of big races if they don't have their ideal conditions, so there is no doubt in my mind that My Oberon is at his peak for this race.

On paper, it's his race to lose, and he should have too much quality for them. At odds of around 7/4 – 2/1 I make him a very good bet for Good Friday.

Glitch in the matrix ! I did actually put edraak 12/1 e/w no biggie but would make a difference to e/w accumulators like it has mine , basically I never posted anilcar twice to exaggerate its eventual winning status . The writing was on the wall with the winner but how many times have we had our fingers burned as a single bet the risk reward never adds up unless you are connected . I think it takes more guts to lump on a odds on than a e/w to nothing . But and it’s a big but . That’s why you need a expert tipster like Rizzel to say when a fav is the real deal ! It does help a lot . Outside of that is prob foul play , “shame on you “! Any sport or competition you do it for the accolades to be the best you can be at your level . Good old Frankie !!! Much respect to that man ! Just good to see him out and about !

Yip Sore Point 3x AW meets at this time of year?
Just thinking there I wonder why they don’t do like the Americans do and have a main grass track and an AW etc track next to it. If it’s to soft due to heavy rain then switch and if the horse doesn’t like AW or tapeta then owner can pull the horse.
Money I suppose. Making sure they can run donkey’s regardless we’re figuring the forms s nightmare!
Fine in winter that stuff but it’s nearly summer and definitely fine weather for turf like this weekend?

Let everyone be ! Below the headliners are just ordinary folk joining in to make a little community . Surely everyone who visits can make up there own mind who to follow ? Losing is the guaranteed certainty in punting unless you’re otherwise privy to inside information. Sore point you seem like a right grumpy old //,!@&££ your best of luck comments seem so un genuine ! We can all pick holes in anyone on here and anywhere else on any platform ! But I know for a fact on many days this forum has managed to suggest the winners many many times it’s just a bit of bad luck anyone hasn’t managed to whittle them down exactly but the shortlist on more than once has been second to none and on a going day it’s perfectly fees able for a random visitor unbiased to this site to randomly select life changing money and that’s what it’s about ! I could pick holes in you very easily . There where a good few days I could of put up your selections like you were backing them until they won which at a betting angle is nt a bad approach. Def for me is remembering a good loser ! Just remember below the head line is normal blokes although you don’t necessarily say anything bad your whole tone is like one on a high horse which is fine I don’t mind anyone being like that if they are propped up by results that equal that . I don’t think there is any long game to beat the bookie . Like doing the lottery you have a good day where it all falls into place hip hip hooray !!! That’s kinda what I’m aiming for that one good day but when you look back over any days results a chicken stands as much chance as an expert ! You obv consider yourself top drawer do where is your yacht full of Thai brides ! The bookie beats the experts novices chancers namesakes everyone ! If there was a formula it would of been leaked . But that being said in my opinion those who could possibly out do the bookie is those with patients happy to play the long game and peck away but unless your a high roller they prob laugh there heads of at your attempts to win when the interest alone on there multi billion pound empire wipes you out and they give you a free £5 bet on a Monday 😅 as data base said the other month when someone taken 4K betting on honey suckle my god they love paying out to feed the addiction knowing full well those little mini wins of a few grand is what creates a long term addiction . I think sore point got a bit of beef with Elvis for what ever reason . He’s won me money lost me money 😂 like anyone who has been followed .
The only person who has ever truly impressed me and won me decent money for little stake money thinking no way that will ever happen 🤣 is John b !! And I mean like 175 /1 placings etc ! Now that’s just crazy 😜

Us lot are a tiny segment of a vast market in comparison. Go easy ! With so much money involved world wide there is no way it would be allowed to operate as a losing business model but there is so much scope for manipulation could you ever blame anyone for for Golding when for most of us blood sweat and tears mean your name cemented in history for ever ! Something billions can’t buy ! 🤣
