Apologies from me to Cairnzy and to everyone on the thread after a very poor showing on the Lucky 15 on Saturday, but also leaving Cairnzy with a last minute post thread as I was not at home.
Card Shark was Cairnzy's horse for Sunday and he didn't run terribly, but also didn't look like winning. He was wide when tracking the leaders and when it came to challenging for the win he didn't have enough in the tank.

Raceview Road 5/1 – Carlisle 2.50
I try to aim for the best race of the day when I get Monday's racing as it's the best chance of getting a horse who will be trying the most, whereas in lower tier racing it can be very bad and horses are being prepped for future races down the line.
The best race of the day comes at Carlisle in the 2.50 and I was very close to going with Tanganyika as he beat my previous selection Yes Day at Market Rasen and I thought he was given a very smart and cool ride by Charlie Deutsch, and will likely progress further. But, Raceview Road right at the bottom of the weights caught my eye and after flicking through the recent form, he got my vote.
If you can look past his most recent run, which was in a four-mile race at Kelso on soft ground, then you must also agree with me that he comes into this race with a fighting chance. He seems to handle most types of ground, but for whatever reason he did not jump well last time out, and I think combining that with the ground and trip was the overall reason for the performance he produced. Prior to that, he finished second to Boomslang who has been a revelation this year for Rebecca Menzies and is now 14lbs higher than when they met and has since beat a good field at Kelso and then finished a short head second at Musselburgh. The third horse from his win at Carlisle with Raceview Road in second has also won, so the form looks strong.
My selection is still unexposed over fences and running off a mark of 105 and a weight of 10st 3lbs he has a fair bit in his favour if he was to return to form, which I think he will.
Not sure if anyone watched the bumper at Clonmel on Saturday, but the winner AQUA FORCE won by 28L.
The horse that finished 2nd was only 7L behind BAMBINO FEVER who is 7/1 for the Cheltenham equivalent while AF is currently 33/1 antepost or 25/1 nrnb. I could go deeper into the form but I think that’s enough to cover a bet for the race.
Owner is looking to sell and I’d say JP has already been on the phone.
I can assure you if the green and gold go onto that horse he’ll be nowhere near that price.
It’s worth watching anyway
I’m lead to believe that a certain Willie Mullins now has AQUA FORCE at his yard
Mullins is killing racing isn’t he.
Soon there will be only his runners in championship races, I find it all a big turn off to be honest, what joy can he glean when he wins these races when he has 3,4,5,6,7 runners in them.
It’s like a football team of 11 men celebrating beating a team of 8 played as if it’s some sort of achievement.
