The weather continued to take its toll on racing as one of my two selections ended up as void due to the meeting at the Curragh being abandoned.
Old Harrovian blew his chances from the start after refusing to settle for Oisin Murphy. I thought after Oisin reigned him back in behind a few horses that he would maybe settle a bit better but it wasn't the case and he therefore found zero in the business end. He's definitely a horse with bundles of ability but if he continues to run keenly against better opposition he will stand no chance.
Sundays racing provides us with four meetings ( at the moment ) and the likely hood of some being cancelled due to the current weather is more likely than not.
Harbour Gem 9/4 – 13:45 Leopardstown
It is always a risk going against the Ryan Moore and AP O'brien combination but I think Harbour Gem has a great chance in this to shed her maiden.
She finished second at Naas last month on her debut for trainer Dermot Weld but was originally with the Barry Fitzgerald yard. She had two decent outings for him before switching hands to Dermot Weld. Her first outing saw her finish third at Thurles over 1m on soft ground and followed that up with a second placed effort behind Dermot Welds Azada over 7f on heavy ground. I thought the run behind Azada was a good effort and a nice piece of form as Azada looks a decent sort and holds entries to bigger races in the future.
Trac 5/1 – 14:47 Carlisle
An interesting race in which a good few in the field enter this with chances. The one that drew my eye was Trac, trained by Micky Hammond and will be ridden by C O'Farrell.
He returned to the winners enclosure at Newcastle last month with a nice performance winning over the 2m on heavy ground against a small five runner field. He did beat home some decent horses that day, Chase a fortune and Hertier to name a couple. He has been hit with a 7lb rise in the weights for that success but given the manner of his recent win it may not be enough to stop him going in again.
Current market leader Netywell comes into this in the form of his life in search of a four timer but given he is now on a career high mark carrying top weight in testing conditions, I think he is well worth taking on with Trac.
Flat season well underway in France, 3 group races, Karl burke got one running, molten rock in the 2-50 and oisin Murphy rides the favourite in the 3-25.
4-00 has military order for Charlie Appleby who won the winter derby recently.
Feed the flame is favourite last seen coming 8th in the arc but hasn’t had a prep run.
and one of my favourite french horses horizon dore 5-1 who if forgiven his seasonal debut recently should be close up.

My old mate Elvis mail runs here but carries a welter weight burden.
If this race was held in his beloved kelso yesterday as scheduled Elvis would have had a far better chance
Adday In Devon 3.08 Bath 11/8
Very quickly…really likeable little filly. Really progressive with a fantastic attitude. First time in a handicap today. They have young Oliver Searle riding who takes off a handy 7lb. He’s won on her twice already. Has run well at the track. She showed she handles an uphill finish by winning at Carlise. Key to this race imo is the doubts over most of these handling conditions. This filly has run well on heavy and also her win at Leicester was described as soft but I’m pretty sure it was heavy in places that day.
Was meant to back this at the opening show but missed the 2/1. So for that reason I’ve just halved my stake as its a fair bit shorter.
Should really be winning this today. Not too much to get excited about but hopefully end the week with a winner.
All the best everyone with whatever your all on today
Cocaine and lots of it 🤣
Frankie’s still got it . Six timer in Santa Anita.
Jesus just looked at the results that’s one hell of an accumulator at decent prices ! Must of been part of his retirement package . Fair play to him living his best life . That one probably slipped under the radar for most of us over here after getting our asses kicked during the day with the uk betting I doubt many would have the stomach to go through it again in the evening ha
A £1 bet would of netted you just under 60k ! Time machine required !!!
1:15 leopardstown versatile 5/1 odds on favs always get turned over by newbies 😂
Ok not my selection but you could tell a newbie was going to win easy way to fix a race with no form to go on the winning horse will run like a donkey next time! Bet some millionaires lumped 1000s on that so the poor folk that had a fiver on the winner does nt bother them plus it would of broken up many accumulators in one swoop ! 😂

Well done cairnzy bet you wish you stayed away from the Irish stuff now they are fleecing the bookies over there you can’t blame them but it’s at the regular mug punters expense who Carry any losses 😂
Cheers Dazz,
I’m from Northern Ireland myself although I’m more a lover of the UK racing even though the Irish dominate when it comes to the big meetings.
After looking at the weather last night I thought the Irish meeting had the best chance of going ahead so I chanced my arm.
Still nice to land a 10/1 winner, wasn’t confident when I seen the drift but you can never trust the market in this game.
Good luck for the rest of the day.
No way can you ever trust the market ! It’s the bookies tool to throw punters off the scent which is fair enough there not just going to give money away . People following there markets that they put up is what they are banking on . Fair play you ve had a good week all in all
Cairnzy you little beauty.
belle fuilles 4.45 ew well done all winners today
Well done with Trac Cairnzy. Unfortunately I am only looking now as I was hanging like a Bat from last night.
