The final PGA Tour event before major season kicks into gear comes from San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open.
It's the second consecutive week that an event has been played in Texas and last week, for the third time in four weeks, we correctly predicted the winner with Min Woo Lee (25/1) coming out on top at the Houston Open.
Despite the prize money being the same this week as it was in Houston, the field isn't as stacked with Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele all electing to sit this one out and prepare for the masters on the range.
Since 2010, the event has been played at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course and it returns to the par-72 track once again this year. Last year's winner, Akshay Bhatia, is back to defend his title but it is Ludvig Aberg who starts as the pre-tournament favourite with most of the best golf betting sites.
Ahead of the first tee times tomorrow, check out our Valero Texas Open betting tips below.

Tommy Fleetwood EW (Ten places) – 12/1
The Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio is an all-around golf course that challenges players in almost every facet of the game. There's a reason the winning score has never surpassed -20, which is something of a rarity in today's game.
While putting is always important, it hasn't been the most important statistic for winners here in recent years. Instead, playing well from tee to green is a lot more valuable. Last year's winner, Akshay Bhatia, ranked first in strokes gained from tee-to-green and the highest-ranked player in 2025 on this metric, who's playing this weekend, is Tommy Fleetwood.
The Englishman is still looking for his first-ever win on the PGA Tour and he has been steady so far in 2025 with five top-25 finishes in five events played. A win is surely going to come at this point and with a weaker field this weekend, could it finally be his time?
Jordan Speith EW (Ten places) – 18/1
Jordan Spieth is great value this week at 18/1 and he will have plenty of support out on the course as the local favourite. Spieth has form around this golf course and famously won the event in 2021, ending a four-year trophyless streak in the process.
Spieth comes into the event this week in the midst of a similar barren spell, with his last victory on the tour coming at RBC Heritage in 2022. He will have circled tournament one as a great chance of snapping that streak and Texan natives do have a brilliant record around here, which suggests this plays like a typical course in these parts.
Eleven of the last 27 Valero Texas Open winners have been Texans and considering none of the last three have been, we are overdue one.
Daniel Berger EW (Ten places) – 20/1
Last year, scrambling proved to be an important stat with those most capable of working their magic around the greens when missing them in regulation performing excellently. The top three last year, Akshay Bhatia, Denny McCarthy and Rory McCilroy all ranked inside the top eight for scrambling.
One of the best scramblers on tour this year has been Daniel Berger, who ranks inside the top ten in this metric with the 31-year-old scoring par or better on 67.5% of the occasions he fails to hit the green in regulation.
Berger is having a good season, too, and has finished inside the top 25 in each of his last five appearances on the PGA Tour.
