After making it five winners from my last six Football Bet of the Day columns at Dortmund on Wednesday, Saturday’s edition sees me head to the Norwegian second tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Start will look to maintain their position inside the automatic promotion places in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen on Saturday afternoon as they welcome struggling Raufoss to the Sparebanken Soer Arena in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Azar Karadas’ hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Norwegian second tier, firing in 45 goals across their opening 24 matches, with 26 (58%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Kristiansand-based outfit have only blanked at home against champions Lillestrom – notching on multiple occasions in 9/12 (75%) of them – and should have no trouble breaching a Raufoss backline that has yet to record a shutout on their travels this season, shipping 2+ goals in seven of their past eight.
Raufoss have scored 37 goals across their opening 24 fixtures in the Norwegian second tier this term, with 18 (49%) of them coming on their travels.
Tom Dent’s visitors have failed to score just once on their travels this season – striking 2+ goals in six of their last eight – and will look to trouble a Start backline that has kept just two clean sheets at home this campaign, shipping 19 goals.

Start’s opening 12 home fixtures this campaign have averaged an eye-catching 3.75 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in nine (75%) of them, whilst 10 (83%) have seen a minimum of three goals.
Raufoss’s opening 24 fixtures in the OBOS-ligaen this term have averaged 3.29 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in an impressive 18 (75%) of them – including in 10 (91%) of their road trips – whilst each of their past eight and nine of their last 10 road trips have seen a minimum of three strikes (1-3, 1-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-2, 1-2, 2-1, 2-4, 4-2 & 0-3).
Start understandably come into this clash as odds-on favourites, but given their lack of clean sheets at home, coupled with Raufoss’ knack of getting on the scoresheet on the road, I’m happy to back a high-scoring encounter with both of these teams contributing.
