After a straightforward winner in Ireland on Friday night, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the return of the MLS, and I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Orlando City will look to strengthen their position inside the Eastern Conference places as they travel to Children’s Mercy Park to take on Sporting Kansas City in a cross-conference clash in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Long-standing Head Coach Peter Vermes has seen his side bang in 41 goals across their opening 26 matches in the MLS this term, with 26 (63%) of them coming on home soil.
The Wizards have made the net bulge in all 13 (100%) of their MLS fixtures in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in nine of their last 12 – and will look to maintain their impressive goal-scoring run at home going against an Orlando defence that has recorded just two clean sheets on their travels, shipping multiple goals in 7/13 (54%) of them.
Oscar Pareja’s visitors have scored 39 goals across their opening 25 matches in the MLS this term, with 22 (56%) of them coming on their travels.
The Lions have found the back of the net in all bar one of their previous 11 road trips – notching on multiple occasions in eight (73%) of them, including each of their last five – and will look to breach an SKC backline that has registered just two clean sheets this season, with only the San Jose Earthquakes (61) shipping more than the 52 they have let in.

Sporting KC’s opening 26 MLS matches this campaign are averaging an eye-catching 3.58 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in a remarkable 19 of their previous 23 encounters – and given the same has landed in seven of Orlando’s previous 11 road trips, including four of their last five – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three goals in Missouri, with both of these sides contributing.
