Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Looking to return to winning ways following last night’s disappointment at Leicester, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me move up a division to the Premier League, and one fixture in particular appeals to me for both goals and cards.

⚽️ Wolverhampton Wanderers vs AFC Bournemouth

??????? Premier League

⏰ Wednesday 24th April, 19:45

Two clubs separated by only one point in the Premier League table meet at Molineux on Wednesday evening as 11th-placed Wolves play host to 13th-placed Bournemouth in a fixture that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

Gary O’Neil’s hosts have scored 46 goals across their opening 33 Premier League matches this term, with 23 (50%) of them coming on home soil.

The Old Gold have made the net bulge in 14/16 (87%) of their league contests in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in seven (44%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again at home against a Bournemouth backline that has kept just three clean sheets on their travels this season, shipping multiple goals in 11/16 (69%) of them.

Andoni Iraola’s visitors have scored 48 goals across their opening 33 Premier League contests this term, with 25 (52%) of them coming on their travels.

The Cherries have made the bulge in all bar one of their opening 16 road trips this campaign – notching two or more goals in seven (44%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again on their travels against a Wolves defence that has only registered three clean sheets at home this term, with those coming against Everton (16th), Burnley (19th) and Sheffield United (20th).

Bet of the Day

Bournemouth’s opening 16 Premier League fixtures on their travels this campaign are averaging an eye-catching 3.69 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 12 (75%) of them – and given the same has landed in 11/16 (69%) of Wolves’ Premier League contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides finding the target.

To nudge the price up, I’m happy to throw in both sides to pick up a card. This selection has banked in 15/16 (97%) of Wolves’ Premier League contests at Molineux this term, with the same also landing in 14/16 (88%) of The Cherries’ Premier League road trips.
