After making it five winners from five to begin the month of June in Finland on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take a trip to the Norwegian second tier, and I’m backing the league leaders to grab three points away at their rock-bottom hosts.

Two clubs at opposite ends of the OBOS-ligaen table meet at the Color Line Stadion on Sunday afternoon as rock-bottom Aalesund plays host to table-toppers Kongsvinger in a fixture that I’m keen to back the visitors to claim all three points.
After suffering relegation from the Eliteserien last season, Aalesund have endured a similar nightmare start to this campaign, sitting bottom of the OBOS-ligaen table, taking just eight points from a possible 33 (W2-D2-L7). After winning one and drawing one of their opening two league outings this term, The Tangotrøyene have gone on to lose seven of their next nine (W1-D1-L7), with their solitary victory in that run coming against fellow strugglers Åsane.
After finishing third and suffering playoff heartache last season, Kongsvinger will look to go one better and claim automatic promotion to the Eliteserien this term.
After winning just three of their opening seven league contests of the season (W3-D3-L1), Johan Wennberg’s visitors come into this clash winning each of their next four to put them top of the OBOS-ligaen table, four points clear of promotion favourites Vålerenga who currently occupy third spot.

KIL have been particularly strong against the bottom sides in the league, having W5-D0-L0 when taking on sides positioned in 10th position and below – scoring on multiple occasions in each of those victories – and I’m backing them to be too strong for an Aalesund side that has W1-D1-L7 across their previous nine OBOS-Ligaen matches, as well as losing 5/5 against teams currently positioned in 6th and above.
