Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the second of the promotion/relegation Eredivisie playoffs, and I’ve come up with a goals-based selection.

ADO Den Haag welcomes Excelsior to the ADO Den Haag Stadium tomorrow evening in the first leg of their Eredivisie playoff semi-final in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Darije Kalezić’s hosts have scored 77 goals across their opening 40 Eerste Divisie/Eredivisie playoff fixtures this term, with 42 (55%) of them coming on home soil.
The boys from the Hague have made the net bulge in all bar two of their previous 19 Eerste Divisie/Eredivisie playoff contests in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in 13 (68%) of them – and will look to trouble an Excelsior defence that has shipped multiple goals in 15/17 (88%) of their Eredivisie road trips this season, including in each of their previous 13.
Despite finishing in the relegation playoff spot in the Eredivisie, Marinus Dijkhuizen’s visitors were the 9th-highest scorers in the division, scoring 50 goals across their 34 contests, with 24 (48%) of them coming on their travels.
The Kralingers have found the back of the net in 13/17 (76%) of their road trips in the Eredivisie – scoring on multiple occasions in eight (47%) of them – and will look to trouble an ADO Den Haag defence that kept just three clean sheets across their 20 Eerste Divisie/Eredivisie playoff contests in front of their supporters, with two of those coming against the bottom-two in the Eerste Divisie table.

Excelsior’s 17 away fixtures in the Eredivisie this campaign averaged a remarkable 4.12 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in 12 (71%) of them – and given the same has landed in 11 of ADO Den Haag’s previous 19 Eerste Divisie/Eredivisie playoff contests in front of their supporters – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be a minimum of three strikes in The Hague tomorrow evening, with both of these sides finding the target.
