After making it four winners from four to begin the month of June in Ireland last night, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take a trip to Finland for the second time this week, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in the Finnish top tier.

KuPS will look to maintain their position at the top of the Finnish Veikkausliiga table as they welcome 10th-placed Oulu to the Väre Areena on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Jani Honkavaara’s hosts are the second-highest scorers in the Finnish top flight, slamming in 19 goals across their opening 10 matches, with nine (47%) of them coming across their three home contests.
The Canaries have failed to score just once across their opening 10 league outings – notching on multiple occasions in six (60%) of them, including in 3/3 (100%) at home – and will be confident of adding to their goal tally against an Oulu defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet and conceded 13 goals across their opening five road trips, shipping multiple goals in four (80%) of them.
Tuomas Silvennoinen’s visitors have scored 14 goals across their opening nine Finnish Veikkausliiga fixtures this campaign, with 10 (71%) of them coming on their travels.
The Navy Blues are one of two sides in the division to have found the back of the net in all of their league matches this term – notching on multiple occasions in three of their last four on their travels – and will look to trouble a KuPS defence who despite their position at the top of the table, have kept just two clean sheets across their opening 10 league outings, and none at home.

AC Oulu’s opening nine Veikkausliiga fixtures this campaign are averaging a joint league-high 3.44 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in eight (89%) of them, including in 5/5 (100%) away from home – and given the same has landed in 8/10 (80%) of KuPS league outings – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides getting on the scoresheet.
