Following on from Wednesday’s winner in Washington, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head back to the MLS, and I’ve come up with a bet builder featuring goals and cards in the Los Angeles derby.

The LA Galaxy entertain Los Angeles FC in the second edition of El Tráfico this season at the Rose Bowl in the early hours on Friday morning, and once again, I’m expecting this fixture to produce goals.
Greg Vanney’s hosts are the joint third-highest scorers in MLS, slamming in 41 goals across their opening 21 matches, with 22 (54%) of them coming across their nine home contests.
The Galaxy have found the back of the net in all nine (100%) of their MLS encounters on home soil this term – scoring two or more in seven (78%) of them, including in each of their last six – and will look to trouble an LAFC defence that has recorded only two shutouts on their travels this season.
Steve Cherundolo’s hosts are also the joint third-highest scorers in MLS, slamming in 41 goals across their opening 20 matches, with 12 (29%) of them coming on their travels.
After failing to score in three of their opening four MLS fixtures, The Black and Gold have got on the scoresheet in each of their next 16 – notching on multiple occasions in 12 (75%) of them, including in four of their last seven away from home – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again against a Galaxy defence that’s kept just two clean sheets at home this term.

Since their first meeting in 2018, El Tráfico’s 22 contests have averaged an eye-catching 4.27 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 18 (82%) of them, whilst Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 17 (77%) of them – and given the form both of these sides enter this contest in, I’m fully expecting another high-scoring encounter between these two Los Angeles rivals.
