After seeing our winning run come to an end at Hillsborough on Saturday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me delve into the Scottish lower leagues, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection involving one of the teams.

Elgin City will look to continue their push towards promotion to League One as they welcome poor-travelling Bonnyrigg Rose to Borough Briggs tomorrow evening in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Elgin bounced back from back-to-back away draws at Clyde and Forfar by defeating league leaders East Fife 1-0 at the weekend to move within eight points of The Fifers with two games in hand.
That result continued Elgin’s strong form at home in the league this season, with the Black and Whites having now picked up 23 points from a possible 30 on home soil (W7-D2-L1), winning six of their past seven.
Bonnyrigg extended their unbeaten run to seven matches at home at the weekend with a 2-1 success over Clyde, meaning they are now nine points clear of bottom side Forfar but also nine points adrift of the playoff places.
However, it’s on the road where Bonnyrigg have struggled this season, with Calum Elliot’s visitors picking up just eight points from their opening 11 road trips (W2-D2-L7), losing each of their past four.

Couple of ways to approach this match, but given Elgin’s impressive goalscoring record at home and Bonnyrigg’s leaky defence on the road, I’m opting to back them to Score Over 1.5 Goals instead of the win.
Allan Hale’s hosts have scored 31 goals across their opening 21 matches in the Scottish fourth tier this campaign, with 22 (71%) of those coming in front of their supporters.
Elgin have found the back of the net in all 10 of their league contests on home soil – notching on multiple occasions in seven (70%) of them – and I’m backing them to bag another double against a Bonnyrigg Rose defence that has shipped 2+ goals in 9/11 (82%) of their road trips this term, including in each of their past four and six of their last seven.
